Here's some of my old stuff. I've grown a bit since posting on here. I hold no ill will to DUP, but I've just moved on with life and I don't get on here much anymore.

What fair memory shall soon be too far
What fair memory shall soon be too far,
When with the darkened night, my world corrupts?
What then would I hold onto, if the jar,
That holds every bit of my hope, erupts?
Loathe would I be to misplace, your grace,
In the reaches of my melancholic mind.
For the light I find in your gentle face,
Is far to precious, to me, to leave behind.
A frozen, harsh night, left for me to live.
The thought of you is to me, warm fire.
So when I have given all I can give,
A thought of you, is a world I desire.
My world can be a dark lonely island,
But...
When with the darkened night, my world corrupts?

The Minotaur
Run, I beg thee
Your path will never end
Run until you're bone and sinew
And keep running even then
There is nothing to hide behind
The beast is too strong to fight
The only option is to flee
Flee away from darkness, flee to light
Run, I will beg thee again
But do not take the straight path
For once you are in his sight
He will charge you in his wrath
I beg you not to lose hope
You need only to run til you see
A odd thing in the labyrinth
A simple and small thing, a string

Dirt
Splat, Splat, Splat
I’m taking a nap
I snore, they pour
Dirt upon my corpse
Thump, thump, thump
Like the sound of a gun
I wake, I make
An attempt at escape
Thud, thud, thud
I’m covered up
I knock, I rock
The lid is locked
Help, Help, Help
I’m trying to yell
I choke, they smoke
There is no hope
I’m taking a nap

Better than Content
I wake up every morning
Excited for the day ahead
For once, there is not
A depressing thought in my head
Finally I have found
That little spot in life
Where once I believe
Things will be fine
Sure I have my moments
When darkness returns
But like short candles
It quickly burns
Life helps out
With how my time is spent
I may not be happy
But I am better than content

Think
I feel like I’m standing on water
Ice isn’t accurate enough
I don’t know the way to go
Thinking on it perhaps too much
I feel like there’s more
At least with me
I’m blind in this world
I’m the one limping
I’m two steps behind
Others are on time
Not that I’m slow
I’m just stuck in my mind
There is the issue
I think more than I jump
Everyone is in the water
My decent has just begun

The Thoughts of a Witch Hunter
Spine of a misguided child
Blood of a Greater Demon
Soul of a gypsy
Horn of dragon
Shell of a beetle
Shriveled head of the unborn
Wing of a phoenix
And heart of a unicorn
The shopping items
On a list
Owned by a malevolent,
Ghastly witch
It’s a good thing her head is on a stake.

Writing Spark
I use to be able to do it
But now I'm only chasing the breeze
Of a past that I wished
Did not leave
I feel like I'm crawling now
Still on my hunt
For that special spark
That allowed me to get it done
I can feel it at my finger tips
Though only for a few moments
Then a huge gust blows it away
I'm left feeling broken
It's just a cycle of catch
Except of course it escapes
How can this cat
Convice his mouse to stay?
But now I'm only chasing the breeze

I'm torn in half
No, actually it's just a cut
One foot long closed gash
That's still healing up
What can I say?
The past week has been Hell
It's better now of course
I'm more well
I'm fine
I wish I could escape
Two more days?
Give me a break
I'm going bananas in here

The Gears and Fires of my Brain are Still Turning and Burning
If I don't fall asleep
I think my brain will explode
But the light is still on
Meaning I'm still on "think mode"
A thousand thoughts going by
Twenty bricks on my eyelids
My head's still on overtime
With so many gears to spin
I just want to not think
Like a sort of peace
Maybe then, if I'm lucky
I can finally get to sleep

The night before I get my spleen out
My head's like an office
Tens of workers rushing about
The deadline's tomorrow
And my spleen's going out
Yet, then again
There's a calm to this chaos
Like the middle of a hurricane
I'm not being tossed
My head's at war, again
And I'm sure of only one thing
That no matter what, tonight
It'll be hard to sleep

Take every thing you’d change
About only yourself
And write each thing down
On little slips of paper
Then put them in a pile
On the floor
And strike a match
Letting it go
The fire consuming your wishes

Where will I go?
I tell myself little lies
Like the cliche
Everything will be alright
But, really, it's up to fate
I don't know what lies ahead
Love, pain, hate, joy?
I'm only sure about death
I'm just Life's little toy
I make every choice
Using the full extent of Free Will
But nothing will tell me
If happiness will be born or killed
Who am I?
What am I?
I'm only one guy
Who is sure to, someday, die
That is certain
Nothing else
Now to climb out
Of my self-created Hell
