The Daffodil
I had a dream the other night.
I awoke in a state of fright.
I rose sweating, turned on a light.
Grabbed my journal, began to write.
I was a very unhappy, sad Daffodil.
Not wanting to be, but was still.
I tried with all my might and will.
To become a rose. I tried until,
a monster came, all scary loud.
Sleek and shiny, moving proud.
Was I safe? I was in my crowd.
To the great gardener my head had bowed.
The pretty yellow flowers were bobbin in the breeze.
Enjoying rain and sun, living...

So ill oblige, with no appeals.

The Trudge
The Trudge
I found a brand new dance. Just thought you should know.
It ain’t no boogie woogie. Got no rhythm nor flow.
It’s shuffle along, just draggin your feet.
Plod along, the Trudge just can’t be beat.
Stomp and you romp. Jump around up and down,
swing your arms wild and crazy.
Act like a clown with a frown.
Don’t need booze or cocaine, to addle my brain.
I’m FKD as it is. Semi insane.
One day at a time, just for today.
I’ll tigger along my merry way.
Dancing the Trudge, till my dying day.

I have a friend that keeps me sane
One who will not deign to feign
She he it oer me doth reign
As I daily live my life
Going through stress and strife
Shit sharp as a ginsu knife
I trust it's there fair and square
Forgetting that I do not dare
For ill sure return to the demons lair
Been there before and it ain't no fun
The side of my head I had placed a gun

Over and Over
Sam I ask, do you jam ?

Dream sweet. Sleep sound.
Rest your mind. The lost is found.
Soundly sleep and sweetly dream.
Just one of the angels on the team.
To keep you sober. To keep you sane.
To keep the demon outside your brain.
So awaken afreshed. Alive and new.
Greet the day. Thank you know who.
Say your prayers. Ask for help.
So through the day, when you needs yelp.
A higher power can calm you down.
and elicit a smile, from a frown.
The day now done. Time for bed.
Visions of sugar plums in your head.
