True blue music lovers
You're not the radio demographic
You're not the shallow pool of humanity
You heard that song as a demo
Before the producer
Told them to remove the word "fuck"
Four weeks ago when
they announced the tour dates
You bought those tickets in advance
And went alone
Because you're friends
would've just talked over
the whole fucking thing
And you wanted to get into it
You hang by the soundboard first
Hoping they don't bury the kick in the mix
Scanning looking for
every lyric mouthed people

Hard realization July 29 2013
Today is the day I realized I have to divorce my wife
She has a mental illness that she won't get help for
My daughter has the same illness
The only way I can save her
Is to divorce my wife
This is the first time I felt lonely
since the separation
and the first time
I feel I might have control of
maybe giving my
daughter some happiness
I can't believe this is my life

I'm by one of those round things
Outside under some clouds
I'm here now but, before I was over there
Across from that thing made of wood
Not the one by your mom's house
But the one that looks like my friends that you never met
There's a dog just about this tall
Being walked by its owner wearing one of these
There's a smell that smells like one of those
And some large trees with leaves on them
And it looks like the grass has been cut this week

Birthing a musician
He was a happy boy
Behind his guitar
The one he ran too
from the school bus
Exhausted ready to play
These were his fingers
A newborn fawn
finding his legs
Blisters turning to callous
A necessary evil
Pain to make notes true and clear
This was his bedroom
A sanctuary hidden from judgment
Internal jury sentencing
Was bad enough
No need for anymore
Those were his friends
Asking to come out and play
Not understanding
This was a higher form of playing
It would soon be art

Yes you are alive
It is literally everywhere
Life is beautiful
I have a chance every day
To witness a event
That will overwhelm me
It is unknown to me how it manifests
Or the formula that it uses
What I do know is
There is no way to deny the tears
Special tears reserved for pure Joy
They fall down my face
In a completely unique way
Instead of evaporating to the air
They get soaked back into my body
Lying dormant
In some hidden reservoir
Waiting for the next time
To reaffirm truth of wonder
Everyone has this ability ...

If Women only knew
Second only to nude
A woman in a sundress
Stops me dead in my tracks
If they only knew
The synchronization of the wind on a dress
Cascading their hair down to their base
Elements dancing
Silhouettes their form
Full of beauty
The addition of a floppy hat
And I am removed from this world
Taken to a Serengeti Plains
Where I am an impoverished alpha lion
I am down wind from you're scent
Every natural instinct kicks in
I crouched low
Through the high grass I see you gracing
You're my gazelle
You serve my every pleasure...

Sometimes I'm confused about you I
I stay up late until 4 o'clock Am
Shredding every ounce of my Being
Longing to be Held
Struggling Against
Who am My
Breaking my very Will
Freed but yet Imprisoned
Time to hold on or say good By

You addict me like a drug
Not sure who to pray to which lords
