All the wasted years I’ve spent

Brushstrokes of red on my soul of souls

As spirits wane and darkness grows

Here I stand, till again I know

The lost intent of a clouded mind

I will lament no longer my prison

But instead, keep my senses clean

And tonight I will dream of the trees

Tonight I will spring from the sea

Born among the waves of change

Despite that of Neptune’s benevolent grace

The flames will consume me while I sleep

Oh, if you could be here now to see

A love that was never meant to be,
Tore apart her heart.
He lied and said he loved her,
He loved her till he had to leave.
Another girl in another town,
A girl that finally found love.
I lost him she will whisper to the wind.
No one will care about a girl with out a heart.
No one will love her now.
She is broken.
Worthless
Ugly.
A heart broken girl with no hope for love.

A love that she would soon forget,
rather than be plauged by it.
She cried a river of blood,
Whilst he tore her heart to peices.
He paid no head to her tears of blood,
He continued in his grusome task.
She cried in pain,
He ignores the cries that wrench his heart.
his task is bloody and grusome,
He haeds not to her love of him.
She screams one last time and is silent.
He works at the hole
That he is carving into her chest.
He know's she is dead and the
price she paid was her heart
that he holds now in his hand.

Why can't you ever hang around
You always look the other way when I flag you down
This race to understand the physics of my tree-like arms
A profound sense of kinship when I tap the ground
Affinity spires and rubber traits
DNA of clowns jettisoned
By a single drop of salty water
And it travels the length of a long long face
Miles of sadness and mires of grace
All that's left is a trace
A less than malleable space
I forgot about this place in all my haste
Mantras of waste when I try to speak
All I can repeat is the limerick carved so...

The sky is grey and blue like day
The sense of colour is lost on most
But not you, factory girl
With each new cloud your eyes grow wide
And I see a place inside your eyes
That you collect all the things you see
Later on you’ll share with me
And I’ll hang on every whisper
That escapes beyond your reach
And curls my ear in the most amusing way

Everyone loves you, factory girl
As long as you still count the stars
And watching trees dance in the breeze

her head is full of silly thoughts
her heart cannot contain.
her mouth just wants to shout them out;
her head whispers, "refrain."

so the thoughts build up in secret,
teeth clenched, holding them in
she cannot trust him fully,
but she's fallen too far in.

she's fallen into love with him
in no uncertain terms.
but the love creates suspicion,
one which she confirms.

her heavy heart, now overburdened,
slows its steady pace.
"I love you," he assures her,
wiping salt-tears from her face.

Fuck the Bees - She Left Me

Wallowing with the bleeding heart teens
I am opening the last jar of honey
and as the final buzz of summer
recedes to memory, I file its sweetness
carefully away.

It fits nicely in the drawer
marked N for nostalgia
next to bright red call boxes
bulky cell phones gathering dust
and the horse drawn canal barge
I have never seen.

The bees
(maybe it's F for forgotten)
were too busy
manufacturing their personal gold,
too pollen sticky industrious
to notice their own extinction
and I must have been
too wrapped...

I never had a chance with you and now its all clear:
the heart betrayed the head and in retribution,
I'll cut you off and think logically from here.

Every mistake is a lesson to be learned:
the head rules the heart,
there must be a balance lest I get burned.

To feel is to hurt and now its all clear:
I ignored reality like a dumb drunk,
You don't know how much I would've held you dear.

But now I can see it was all a mirage:
like an oasis in a desert,

it’s the weekends
that hurt the most;
idle time can be so destructive,
when used in such a foul way.

the mind seems to go
where it is least wanted
and thoughts start to create
their own form of loneliness,
stripping away
at each layer of sanity.

losing a love
is the master of all pain,
and reliving the words
on those long weekends,
can be so very insane.
