Hey... My name is Miranda and although I want to get my writing out there, I have not a clue where to start. My friend told me about this site and I hope to get some honest constructive criticism and advice. 
I get called flighty and bubbly but I promise that is almost never the tone or mood of my poems... ah perhaps a little psychotic and overly optimistic at times, but more often than not it's filled with anger and depression 
gotta vent right? Here's a sample: Our Monsters
Monsters in the air
monsters every where.
With shallow whispers in your ears,
your will is stollen as danger nears.
They catch you in your sleep
to haunt the fears you keep.
Theyll steal your pride and
steal your dreams.
Watch them show what true
terror means.
Yet listen here and listen well,
for I have a sound relief to tell.
Oh no, not all is sinfully lost.
these wicked ones are gone with a cost.
For you must be willing and you must be brave,
to send these ghouls to their grave.
The monsters you see,
theyll beg you to flee
but stand tall and be strong
and they can do you no wrong.
yes they are shadows sulking through the night
but they are shadows left for you to fight.

A site full of poems is like chocolate cake lol ummmm good! My name is infinitebeauty. I had stop writing for a while and picked it back up thanks to my English professor this year. Therefore, my reason for joining the DU website. I look forward to reading others work and vice versa!
