Feeding the buzz on stillness
get up on stages of living
look out further than the shadows
of their aristrocratic noses
Call me O captain! My captain!
I lead you yet not
read me within a master poet's
pain made immortal
His heart bled for others
as he stumbled on the deck
steering on stormy seas
deep within himself
Never getting his sea legs
loving his roles
clown and pauper
Lover, father or prisoner
his last role was for himself
an exit stage left
he has left the building
hear the dirge rumble
Exult O shores and Ring O bells
he has reached the furthest shore
he walks the home of his dreams
love painted that came alive.

So many beautiful words. I believe he lived up to every one, and shared them the only way he could! I feel so fortunate to have grown up with his humor, charm and the way only he could share these stories.

Sadly missed by family, friends and Fans.

Okay, here is my tribute:
Filled With Passion
I plant a flower,
Watch it grow,
Feed it water,
Defend it from snow.
How the beauty of nature
Glows hereafter
Leaving its descendants
Irrefutable laughter.
We’re the descendants,
Who’ve seen the flower grow,
Awe at the natural cycle
Yearning for it to put on another show.
But we couldn’t stop the storm,
We couldn’t take the captain’s helm
To stop it from charging into
The silent realm.
The flower has wilted.
And the trees have collapsed in to the cold
As we watch smiles set
Into a muted mold.
Shall there be tears?
Shall there be regrets?
Does a shadow sleep at dawn
Only to be blue when the sun sets?
Some may agree,
Denial still roams
Incomprehensible,
To many: one of the greatest ever known.
An era has ended,
What’s left to do,
Keep on laughing,
Remembering, “the honorary Jew.”
