Good evening, Clarice(or in this case Rhiannon, hehe)...
I like it old school, a huge Dr. Lecter  fan here. I think Thomas Harris is a genius in what he did with the Hannibal series, well, that's just me and my opinion on things.

For me it would have to be The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings.

I love both the Hunger Games and Harry Potter. I also enjoy House of Night, and as a kid I loved the Old Kingdom Chronicles.

Rick Riordan FTW! All time favorite... Am obsessed with his books and all the mythology in it. Btw the two Percy Jackson movies out now suck major ass. They couldn't even get the stinking plot right!

king-----the dark tower series..........

a man who has lost everything trying to find the reasons why.
and only unfolds a deeper, darker truth
is what it is for the gun man.....
dark tower........
lotta democratic, apocolyptic, capitolist,vs anarchist.anti organized religion, tassles in there.

if you are a reader and an evil dude or bitch this is the one for you......

or someone who just sees the gangsta in everything.....
always lookin for the angles.

thaas what i recommend

and also the "serial killers club"

start there......

a lotta defined moments....

i read it in a day but i was in jail.
and went out and bought the whole series the day i got out.
it's all about roughnecks and hard times......

jus sayin thas what i recommend...............

The Dark Tower series. They're the greatest sci fi-fantasy-western-romance-horror novels ever written. There's no other series quite like it.

Also, A Song of Ice & Fire. I read the first four so fast I had to go back & read them again before I could continue. HBO also made an excellent show ("Game of Thrones"), but the books are way better. Highly recommended adult-oriented fantasy.

Still in the process of reading the Gormenghast books, but so far they definitely deserve a mention. Something very different.
