So in the spirit of trying to keep DU what it's originally supposed to be, I realized that soon, my other forum post with the questions, will soon die, once everyone who wants to answer, has answered.

I want something about poetry to keep getting bumped to the top with reply's. So I thought I would try this.

Ask a poetry related question. The person who answer's is to ask another poetry related question. Then the one who answer's that, is to ask another one. Got it?

Also, if you are curious about other people's answer's to the question you have answered, feel free to ask it again.

I will start with the question.

In the poem, "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost
What do you imagine was going on in his life that he was trying to decide upon?

....I don't know...
I mean obviously he was making a life changing decision....
Or.. he could just be thinking up rhyming words....
What do you think?...

Metaphors. They're more heartfelt and poetic and they come off as less phony.
Good god, I've turned into Holden Caulfield.
How do you guys feel about rhyme schemes?

Free verse. Rhymes are more restricting, while free verse is more raw and unprocessed thoughts.
I like both, seasons greatly affect my mood but colors are amazing descriptors.
What's worse, cliches or an overuse of ellipsis?

Damn straight, my friend. I hate the fall. It's not beautiful. The weather gets colder and school starts and I have to rake the fucking hard.

I only disagree with the regret part...last line says, "I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."

It is only my opinion that it was the right choice, even though hard to make.

but at the same time it could be that even though he regrets something he is mature enough to accept the choices he made because he cant change them & thats the true difference....but thats just how i think at times rachel....lol
