I think it's dumb and hurts people, but that's kinda okay because most people are horrible human beings anyway. It's also not something I'm good at.

Well the hopeless romantic side of me wants to say that love is knowing someone faults and still wanting to be with them. Also it is when you feel comfortable to tell them about all of your darkest moments and not feel like you are being judged. Love can be anything when it comes to your significant other. For instance a simple pat on the back when your feeling down, or a get home safe, or even have a nice day at work. However the cynical side of me says that love is just a word that sounds nice or an illusion that we desperately want to believe is real. Love when in the wrong hands can cause death,destruction, and wide spread hatred. We gave this word that much power over us. It is something that we created to escape the harsh realities,  basically a distraction from life..

Love is having to tell your daughter (or son), what they need to hear, rather than what they want to hear, no matter how much they tell you they don't like you right now, afterwards.
