Yes case, they live under bridges & come out to scare the fuck out of you...
Personally I think it was a way parents controlled their kids behaviour when I was a child many moons ago...there were story books about them and even little doll like toys...the heroin and speed must be an add on...a warning not to do drugs or you'll end up looking like a troll...
They're a good analogy about fear controlling your life...
These days troll is an appropriate name for an insecure cruel person who inflicts pain on others while under disguise  and feeds off their pain so as to make themselves feel big...when in fact they're weak little pricks...

I tried living as a troll for a while ... Rehab was a bitch.  I figured it'd put me in with Winehouse ... Hendrix and Morrison; but they had talent ... Me ... eh.
