A Moment of Silence
Anonymous
I am sad to report that a fellow poet and friend of mine has passed away in a car accident due to a reckless driver. DivineLostSoul or Chloey Harris died on site at the age of 18. May she rest in peace, and she will be missed dearly.

You have my siilence and my sorrows.. May she have the briightest of blessings and many many good wiishes to see her on her way....
Thiis....iit iis not much....but I hope iit helps, iif even a miinute amount..
And so the tiide washes out agaiin
A moment by the sea
Shells and ocean-smoothed pebbles on the sand
Angels to guiide thee....
The song has stopped, but echoes now
Forever iin the miind
A trembliing chorus
Tiil we meet again sometiime
Come now, sweet chiild
Here, thiis iis the way,
Towards the gates
And the sunliight
Weep not, poor chiild
For thiis sadness wiill soon pass
Thiis iis the way
through the paiin and the anger
Fear not, sweet child
The path liights up, you see,
Angels to guiide thiine way...
The sun siinks low, lets the niight iin
Stars blaze ahead, soft warmth stiill on the land
Heart fiills wiith sorrow and confusiion
Yet steady stays the hand
Every liight wiill fade iin tiime,
But remember that a new one iis stiill to shiine
A diifferent colour, but briight and true
And all iis stiill, iin beautiiful remaiins
Angels to guide thee on thy way...

Is that the same DivineLostSoul here on this site? Very sad, I read what happened, there were two pedestrians killed, one of them Chloey.

Yes it is, and to the rest of you thank you. We actually went to high school together I recommended her to this site and made up the user name for her. She loved the site.

Many condolences to you: for the loss of such a bright poet and such a young and vibrant person. Such tragedies are horrible, but at least so long as her works remain on here you can come by and read and re-read them and feel her presence in every word she wrote, and remember the good times and the brightness that she possessed and which she conveyed through her poetry. I never knew her, myself, but like many here I'd seen some of her works on the site. Her loss: I believe, is felt by us all, and she will indeed be missed. May she rest in peace, and may your grief not be too long, but only as long as you feel you must grieve for such a dear friend. Blessed be!
