The Dirtier the better??
I like to be candid, but you can turn-off your readers if your to graphic. What I believe separates erotic poetry from erotic literature, is erotic poetry is as much about the spirit as it is the body. When your reader says, "that's it, that's exactly how I feel, but never could find the words to describe it." Then you've done your job as a poet.
