I think it really depends on the fetish and whether or not you feel you can make it part of your presumed relationship with this person. Everyone has a line, but we only discover those lines through experimentation and getting outside of our comfort zones. This isn't to say we should be tolerant of anything patently illegal, like pedophilia, but if a man were to ask me about a particular 'kink' he has, I wouldn't dismiss it offhand.
