If I remember correct ( it was a long time ago ) July was imposed upon the calendar by a Roman emperor. If Julius wasn’t so vain, what year would it be now. ...also as a side question, if you named a month after you, what would you call it

Both July and February were added to the calender...and before that there were few counters for days in a year. I think it was like 51BC (Cleopatra's time) where they caught count and fixed the calender (and ended up with like a four hundred fifty day year)...and I'd name my month Absol and put it between September & October.
