The Samurai believed that it was better to die doing ones duty, than to live having failed it
at its heart, this is why they treated our servicemen that surrendered so badly in World War II...
to them, Our servicemen had already done the unthinkable...
and these disparate cultures are now the strongest of allies... (now that we have taken responsibility for their national defense... good luck on the corporate battlefield against them, however)

i tried to enlist after graduation in 1992,
and again after some idiots cashed in their chips to try to get 40 virgins in the after life
turns out that i could have gotten into the coast guard... (too late by the time i found that out... fun in the sun with crew served weapons!!! i wanted the deuce...)

No one unless I was forced, id just like to find an island to send evil people to, then they could just do away with each other.

Because people have their own ideas, and being raised differently makes them want to use their own opinions on others.
It's almost like human brainwashing, it might also be for protection generally smoking / drinking is something unhealthy for people. Family members can do crazy things to save people they love.

When I was 5 I had an extreme fever that could've killed me, and ive had my life threatened by people a few times. Nothing that would just send chills up your spine through.
