In the bible, Adam and Eve realized, after they ate they ate the fruit, that they were naked and felt ashamed. In what way were they naked? Literally or figuratively? And why did they feel shame?

The obvious answer to me, is that they felt shame because that's what the script demanded.
Figuratively speaking, the shame would probably be in the realizing that they've done wrong.
kind of like a child caught with his/her hand in the cookie jar.

If they were ashamed cause they did wrong, why try to hide their nakedness and pretty much tell on themselves, instead of remaining naked and acting like they didnt know since it was the forbidden fruit that made them realize they were naked.

were there animals? only other animal I can think of was a snake which is a reptile.
I think I see where you're going with this, It is just a story though after all, a fable if you will.
however I do see that there is s'posed to be some kind of moral in there but right now that particular moral escapes me.
what do you think it all means yourself?

lol. they were ashamed of busting a nut. the feeling was a lil overwhelming for them and they werent sure how to feel about it so ashamed was the only opposite of satisfied.

Idk.. I guess naked meant all their human qualities and potential to do great things as well ad the ability to destroy. Either way I guess if God is omnipotent he shouldve known they were gonna take the fruit before they took it. The punishment was guilt and shame for knowing what they do wrong and why its wrong. Also people have to use those qualities were aware of to overcome obstacles to survival, such as farming and harvesting enough food to get thru winter, building shelters that withstand natural disasters. Most species adapt to their environment, humans, we change our environment to suit us.

I hear you on the omnipotent. I mean it seems that the mere suggestion of a forbidden fruit would compel any human to go check that shit out. enter the serpent (could be a metaphor for greed, lust etc) who persuades the woman(weak ass mo fo) to eat the apple.
nakedness may well be the taking away of the blanket God had around them, the knowledge that God was there for them, that they were 'special to him etc
then with that taken away, they were bare to the world, naked in everything, raw, cold, sorry, angry?

All interesting..To me, shame is about identity...before the apple nothing but God was on their minds...after that God was hardly ever on their minds..nakedness, self-consciousness, is a burden...it divides us..beats us down. I reject shame...do not feel it... why would I?
If God has unconditional love I am loved regardless;if not we are lost and no amount of ritual or doing good will fix it.
I'm a nudist at home....I'm a nudist emotionally everywhere. Why would I feel shame for being myself? My freedom is not dependent on what I do....It is not independent of who I am....I am free. IMHO....

SExactly runningturtle. I think its kinda pschoanalytic where Adam just represents mankind.l, Eve represents his ego, conciousnes, self awareness , sense of self worth and importance. Yes he saw her and siad youre flesh of my flesh, but later refers to her as the woman god gave to me( lmao he threw her ass under the bus.), anyway he didnt want it seem that he himself disobeyed God. Most people are like that trying to please others at the same time pursuing their own desires.,
