Rain taps canvas
Soothing our sleep
Gods and godesses
Frown as they weep
Crying  their failure
Soothing our sleep

slid down someone's cheek one day
leaving a moist, wet trail on my way
crashed into the earth ever so silent
and bound a few grains into clay

Wind sucked me out like reaper
only, to take me up, to the sky
pushed me, into clouds ever deeper
numerous vistas I passed by

I journeyed from the eye to the sky
only to come crashing down
difference is I lift spirits high
to the joy, I now, give a sound!

Rain thorns

I would like to know
the sound of my tear
while it slips upon my cheek
and if it’s the same harmless sound
like the one of a raindrop
falling down a tree leaf
and then it slips upon the next leaf
and then to the one below
until it fells onto the ground
and gets dry silently from time
like got my eyes and now…
and now not even sadness
can make them wet enough.

Are the notes that dress my raindrop
thin and audible
or maybe heavy and obscure
like a half sun in the sea?

I remember me –the rain-
smiling during the summers
when during the winters I was falling
at the deepest of the night
drowning me inside your dreams.

to some I make loud noise
to others I'm but a simple patter on the ground
I am forceful at times
and soft at others
if you listen carefully
you may hear my soft tune

Rain

Tiny drops
tickle my face

Slowly
then more

Umbrellas broken
feet are bare

Rain down on me
straight hair turns kinky

Feels warm
and sassy

splash in puddles
feel like a kid

Dancing in the rain
these types of days
erases some of the pain....

Drip, drip, drip the the gentle sound of rain,
the smell of the fresh hay was missing,
just some musty feeling
and a fogged up window pane.

The raincoat was long gone,
nor was the umbrella out,
Just another miserable day,
and I was feeling so forlorn.

The rain was not a rage,
it was just a slow steady stream,
It was just one of those days,
You would like to turn the page.

But rain smelt of stale cigarette,
body odor and pain.
For the rain was salty and emotional,
You just say “stop crying and no need to fret!”

...till next monsoon

I wait for the rain
to tell me the stories
from up above
above the clouds

I wait for the rain
to fall on my face
dripping through my ears
and whisper the tales

to dance with the drops
like how you taught them
to shiver in the wind
with your voice in my head

to play in the puddles
with all your giggles
I will wait for the rain
and they tell me stories

~

I talk about you
how I missed you
my face lit up when
I talk about you

wait for this rain
to return to you
with all my pain
and all of my love

send me your kisses
next time with monsoon
to wash away my pain
darling send it soon

...till next monsoon

Full Circle of Karmic Elopement

Born in the upper heavens, this tiny raindrop sparkles
The journey to earth will be adventurous although arduous
Pregnant clouds heavy; ready to rid themselves of pressurized weight of precipitation
Single drop of moisture sheds a tear of what's on the horizon
Fear fills the opaque droplet as promises of freefall ignite in thunderous lightning
Elation and joy also embrace our pristine drip of condensation
Gravity pinpoints its magnetic compass upon the center of our dew drop
Released from the tether binding it to its precious billowing mother
Plummeting towards the final destination; is it the beginning or the end?
Dreaming of victory at the pleasure of landing on a parched orchid petal
Speeding steadily downward to confines of nature silhouetted in the storm
Gaining momentum to break through to the other side to the unknown
Diaganol trajectory levels water to become reflected in an illuminating vision
Cascading rapidly into direct collision with the forest canopy
Our raindrop turned daredevil must maintain its course or be doomed
Bursting through leafy barriers to glimpse the orchid filled valley
Our sprite of lovely mist begins to realize that this fated destiny is a new beginning from an old end
Perfect blooms fragrance tickles the spiritual prism hidden within
Landing upon the pollen covered, silky petal in a dance of magic
Glancing skyward from this marriage of thirst meeting the droplet that quenches to nourish
Grace and glory overwhelms our brave raindrop as it slides to the flower's protective foundation of love
Only awaiting to be reincarnated from evaporated dreams.

anatomy of a tear~by

yellow jacket wasps in blue
I`ve given birth to their liquid seeds;
honey burns in stinger rays, like dirty deeds
built in bullets against a black~out sky,
a random slap to my cheek…
hives above, I stand below
catching rain~bees on my breathless wings

please, forgive me
