Why Does it Hurt

I'll never love another girl,
The way that I loved you.
Even if she's beautiful,
She simply will not do.
She may be both smart and fun,
And take care of me,
But you're still the only one,
How can you not see?
I could try every day,
Just to give this heart away,
But she'll never get it all,
Because I guess i'm afraid,
I'll never need another smile,
The way that I need yours.
I would walk ten thousand miles,
Just to see one more.
I'll never hurt on the inside,
The way I have for you,
But telling you how much I've cried,
Is not like me to do.
I'll never write for anyone,
My songs will rot on shelves.
Softly, I will cry alone,
Singing to myself.
The way that I loved you.

Omg i have only just seen this, I haven't been on DUP for a short time and I have only just noticed this. Thank you so much, it's been a really, really tough year and that poem was the first I ever wrote, it came all at once - organically. This means so much to me. Thanks :)
