Here it come
Here it go
Can't see you
But i feel you
Blowing hard
Blowing soft
Just like love
It comes and go

Ravens sound the call
to arms
darkness crows somber songs

Why
do wise men
play the flute
for the advice of fools
do kings no longer keep intellectual counsel

Weep
tiny woodland folk
cry in joy
springs  sung a tune
lovely blue mocking bird

Whisperings
faintly heard
discontent grows
speak up now
or hold your breath
when they come for you

Caught between

Secrets she brings to me by breeze
Whole tales of knowing
Filling my sails I wove into outrageous tapestry . ..

And as breeze turns tempest
I head first
And furious fast between
Two of my journeys most wicked curiosities

Scylla and Charybdis
They hold me in their clever midst
of whirling wrath
and rock hard riddle

A question!
Correct answer will give safe passage....
I fail and my ship proud holding my beautiful sails
Will twirl in wild swirl
Or be splintered into pieces
And slowdance down in ghostly drown
To rest in the mysterious depths
Of the wide
Vast
Dark deep blue sea....

And Scylla she says...
Crossly to me...
"Without it you are dead...
And if you are not, .... you are behind..."

I smile wide and say..
Ahead!!!
Scylla, she groans as she calms her churn
But Charybdis grins and seems quite happy
Maybe...
For a moment of her ease
But I swear she seemed..
To be grinning for me!?
"Then on and Ahead you shall be!"

And gladly gives safe passage..
She blows a blustry breeze kiss
To fill my tapestry sails...
And I carry on
My endless journey exploring me....

The wind on my back
A diamond lit starry map to guide me

I am a Woman ever reaching fingers
Towards new horizons....
And more
Much more than that...
a Woman ever free

BLUE LOTUS

Coming up from Aswan with his catch,
he tacks the course of his ancient dhow
along the Nile of her dark eyes,
and long flowing hair blowing,

the narcotic of blue water lilies,
her lotus pose facing both
the rising, and the setting sun.

The young fisherman begs to know
as he sings upward with his desire
and his might, into the sail
that catches the crosswind:

What is your name, scented one,
in the smoke that rises
from the shores of the cataracts,
where I bring to you my bounty!

He peers into the azure above,
waiting for her answer to fill his sail,
calling out once more as his teeth gleam--

the wind to my garden

stepping back
the view widened a grim horizon
soles of converse shoes,
pulled down by gravity to mud

the remains of my gardens
i reminisce in each petal,
torn from stem to the dirt
the aftermath of an agonizing breeze
the good lord didn't seem so good anymore

the pigment was shedded to match the dirt,
blending into the ground i step on
my soles step on dead bodies of pansies, daisies, and each rose,
all had once been blooming on the other side of my kitchen window

my nostrils don't recognize this scent
so weery is this morning fog,
replacing the air of the flowers once here
but only a shrub, messy and lone

my garden turned to a graveyard,
the wind, a grim reaper
i reminisce each petal,
but i have no flowers to leave at their graves.

Renga: MEDITATIONS
(a Jade-Pandora & Hepcat61 collaboration)

Buddha
the one who sees all
namu amida butsu
crane on utmost branch

         only the tree
         sees the crane
         standing

Dharma
emptied to be filled
namu amida butsu
sun in morning fog

         morning fog
         hiding day's new sun
         in vain

Sangha
encompassing all
namu amida butsu
a wind in wheat fields

         prayer flags
         sending proof that
         wind exists

gypsy wind

in a wayward wind, I’ve lost my way
the raging tempest beats me
I’ve heard the wail of thunder’s song
& I’ve stolen the melody

the wilderness cries under gem stone skies
mountain’s crush & rivers wild
from broken bridges to desert sands
my spirit roams, beguiled

I’ve found no road that’s paved with gold
the wings of eagles own me
but nature’s great & precious heart
knows drifters & kings are lonely

what the wind demands, a woman perceives
the sum of all her fears
I’ve tasted sorrow she wears like the dew
grown drunk on her bitter tears

shameless, she pledged to my craven eyes
her naked flesh, & sinned
so like the dust is a lover’s justice
my heart blows with the wind…

THE COMING GALE
(a pantoum)

I see your eyes betray the coming gale
I sense the risen tide, the rain swept sea
Your flowing harbor I so deeply sail
Those saddled spurs that sure encircle me

I sense the risen tide, the rain swept sea,
It keeps their rocking long into the night
Those saddled spurs that sure encircle me
Yet keep your labors hidden from my sight

It keeps their rocking long into the night
With shudders sent from waterline to mast
Yet keeps your labors hidden from my sight
From sacred coves your silken spells are cast

With shudders sent from waterline to mast
In final crashing waves capsizing all
From sacred coves your silken spells are cast
That come like hurricanes, squall after squall

In final crashing waves capsizing all,
Your flowing harbor I so deeply sail
That come like hurricanes, squall after squall
I see your eyes betray the coming gale.

Blown

Every word spoken through time
hangs still in its own stream
the air won't wash over all realms
infinite key-less chambers hold secrets
energies preserved in hibernation

there was so much empty space
before the microscope
what will the future show
when the breeze is caught carrying
gusts in possession of every sound chain formed

when we can tune in and hear
wind instruments orchestrate change
and translate the howls

A birds Symphony

The bird that broke its wing
Sang a sombre song
It sang all night long
sang for the sunrise
Sang for the moon
Sang for recovery
Hoping it will come soon

The bird that broke its wing
Whispered with the wind
As it was the wind
That lead the song into the air
But all this bird could think about was her

The bird that broke its wing sat there
Waiting for what it knew was already true
The bird sat there whilst knowing
She was already in the air

For she sang a sombre song
A song so strong
For it reminded her of days long gone

The bird that flew
Sang for the bird with a broken wing
For it was the wind that fuzed
The two sombre songs
And made a melody
So sweet

A symphony of sombreness
The destruction of loneliness

Because when his wing recovered
It was his heart that she mended

But now
Now they fly together
Floating in the whispering wind

Singing a duet of joy
Then Reciting A birds Symphony
