 ....closed the shower faucet
A single last drop-let
 rolled    lazily
out the fine
hole in the silver
rose
and fell
escalating'
speed
as it tumbled towards
the earth
sucked
by the gravity it
was flying
towards

It started to change

shape

teardrop almost
It started to change

color

translucent clear
blue tinge
to a prism
a rainbow

rainbow of delight

-x-

The faster it fell
the more vivid it's movement was
The inevitable happened
it landed
on the
soft
tanned
skin
of her
shoulder

It slid gently
over the
shoulder
to her chest
where it rested
for a split second
before it cascaded
over
her right
tit

-x-

Her erect nipple, separated
the breathless droplet, into two

and                                              they
spun                                          out of control
down                                           her tummy
to her                                     navel
where                   once                       again
             they   met
            to celebrate
           slipping in her
             inner thigh
               and it just
                  hung
                   out
                    on
                     her
                      pussy's lip

[It held on for dear life, as it's weight
pulled it towards hell;
It held on for what must have felt
an eternity]

Before it fell like a hail stone to
d e  s   T r   u c   t  i     o   n

-x-

"Of the Deepest Blue" (an ode to my aqua phobia)

O, to be on a glass bottom-
A deep blue abyss
Water infatuates, surrounds
Lo, to be one with my fear
Though it swims swiftly
Exterminate me, in a ballet-
All empowering, of a deepest blue
Save me my issue, consume me
Deepest blue

Allures out on dishes
Twinkling, singing
Array of clouds
Bursting,
with the deepest blue
On my sweat-drenched-
Body, make me new
Dance upon every inch
O, make me one with you
Deepest blue

An endless sky beneath
One fear I fight is being consumed
Every inch devoured by you
Deepest blue
To lay nude in thy tongue
Down a hatch of eternity
But you intrigue me utterly
To rest of your coast
Impaired by the hue
Of the deepest blue.

A Wet Mystery

She was scared to death of the deep deep depths
Or swimming pools those little wets
She wouldn’t swim she’d only tan
She never learned to swim
She loved the land
And so it stays a mystery
That I wonder still
Yet only me
How she could perish far from the land
And wash up like trash upon the sand
Cops just scooped her up and say so bold
An accident out in the deepest cold
There is no more here to be told
How did she come to die so far away
To end in her most fearful way
A deep deep place far from the land
And not be heard by any man
She floated to the beach and to the baking sun
My sister gone her fears have won

And the cops say she was out in a boat. It would never happen. Lazy and incompetent police work.

October Goodbye

The heart in decades, spades
Spilled, filled
Our moon held water
In every touch the sea came up
In eons, night crossings
Between October's goodbye and now
Sailing dry-eyed apart, our Bedouin barks
Borne on the outbound crest of a rippling hoop
Cast from the core of a big bang demise
To the fall of our galaxies blooming
Bloomsday stars pinning us cold between the dome and deep,
Fixed to our tiny history, tattered means and ends
As we each our lines etched and orbits plowed,
Space grew vast; black and toothed the deep,
I remember when your bobbing lantern
Was swallowed by night,
I kept watch in the chill black lone, as waters slapped and mocked.
Will we soon see the frontier of our seas,
Will waters stampede, exploding froth to naught,
Will we quickening drop from worlds end?

I grasp a rail, climb hissing rigging crowsnest high,
Look over my shoulder,  as if.
Winds whip my hair, slow-rolling leviathans glint fathoms below
The sweep of their placid eye stirs and churns our ether
Blending and crooning echos of our time,
Bending petals of watercolor strains,
They broadcast  a rippling doppler tune of memory,
Stealthy the chorus amplifies, I am paralyzed gazing
As pluming inkblood memory in water spreads
Again I am the Satin Woman, helpless in an opium lair
Water moon and memory enter and will have their way
Push aside the sultry evening curtians lifting sighing restless heaving
Returned without leave, a snaking Moonflower nightbloom scent.
Once, we lay tangled jeweled with sweat and spent,
On a floating lilypad  all unware of change
Stealthy smuggler up and over the garden gate
Dogs twicth and whimper before the flickering grate
Candles flag, babes root and suckle harder
The Banshee of regret is passing over,
Her silken footprint hangs, she flourishes glassclear skirts
Murderous coal-eyed Spanish dancer, dissolves in air
Thieving, haunting, hunting...nothing is there.

I ponder you still in this whistling dark
Breathing my short measure
Stars drop, comets trudge, grandmothers toss and sigh
Yet, rosy-fingered dawns rub morning eyes,
And I treasure wonders you sketched on my chart.
A voyage dreamt, heads bent in navigaton
Crowned in a golden orb of lamplight, laughing
Plans to best the Hoary Serpent, Hungry Dog and Undertoad,
Plans to row brave in tandem,
To sleep safe each night on our liferaft lilypad,
Land hands clasped on verdant sand.
Does your glass scan still for my sail?

We rode our Nightwolf, outpaced pressing stars,
Skating the face of the deep.
In the bones now, She who we feasted
With no thought to provision for winter,
She is lean, loping, longing, true
A waning loyal messenger, grey muzzled, still our servant
I turn a cheek
I cannot bear our stillborn moon
Burned prints dance multiplied in my sight
Birthing cry all unwilling battering the tidebreak I have forged
Crosscurrent battle in my belly to sing, not grieve
Our shining lupine whelp
Under every October moon newborn still, trotting, crossing
She takes one fatal look over her shoulder
Seed in the mouth, start over again
Still she laps light from our glowing chalice
Still she howls the oprhaned tale of us.

Watersong

I watch the girl begin to fade.
It always seems to do with
the heavy sadness of water,
the terrible weight of water.

The look casts itself upon her face,
softened pools fill her eyes,
engulfing onyx pupils,
distorting them into huge sapphires.

But water tends to grow,
and water tends to drip,
how she has yearned for water to fill her
but gives births to leagues of it now.

And everything beautiful about water
seeps into that liquid arpeggio,
silver ballerinas of silence
waltzing across her cheeks.

Even though water, like love,
his words, is ephemeral,
vanishes from her skin and body,
and arid deserts are left.

But she is a fountain now.
She weeps and weaves
a cascading aria of light,
and it pulls too hard,

whatever she is flows along with it,
drowns under heavy rocks
and she cannot hold her breath anymore,
must take in more water,

take it in to the most delicate place,
where water is not wanted
and sings in betrayal
its crystalline notes of death.

And I watch the waves sweep over her,
and like a beacon in a storm,
the light fades,
flickers out.

I turn the mirror away, reach for a tissue.
Something to capture
that ineffable release,
to prove the transaction was real.

Waterkin

Hammers from the heavens
that thunder down on Thors-day,
heavy feet that burst on impact
gleefully capering around
as they embrace buildings
and the ground,
pounding then exploding
into droplets
that skid and skim,
so fleet paced
wind winged
haloed in light,
while more teardrop troopers of the storm
drop down to beat the rooftops into recognition;
only to also become
spring-heeled beads,
dancing in their rain.

Finding Poseidon (The-Lob-Stir-Tales)

Oh Poseidon
Dancing upon my chest
Tell me how you trapped the beach there?
There, where I’ve found no rest

Where the sand & shells do loiter
Where what’s dry is such a test
Do tell as your mermaid daughters
boss-a-nova upon
my chest

All this as the tide rolls; rhythm
winding at your behest
To languish here
with an absence of fear
So nice to be your
Guest

Thank u
Oh Poseidon
Shore told me you’re the link
Crystal clear ~ just like my tear
The Sunset sends its wink

And
for certain
Oh Poseidon
There’s salt within your drink
Like the tale spins of your daughters
Giving reason `enough
to sink

Drowning in Knowledge

water is alive. living in-side of me.
water is surprise. rain storms raging in-side of me.
water divides lands. water slips through my hands.
water in-side of me.
I swallow water. water swallows me.
in it. in me.
swimming symbiotic synchronicity. in me.
breathe.

You know when you smell a rose
You probly think
That's nice
'N that's it

But smokers know when they
Take a hit
That within seconds there's
A little more to it
Evry cell in your brain
Is bathed in nicotine
It's just the way your body works
Your lungs bring in air to breathe
Oxygen goes in along with your sin
Blood grabs on to oxygen
I, blood, travel thick and strong through
My heart only to be broken apart
The vessels branch and divide
One strong artery becomes many thousands
Of the tiniest capillaries inside
Incidentally bathed in flower potion
Or Pharoah moan molecule emotion
From the breath of my lover
Travels into every cell of me
I'm water steeped in lover tea

Water drops leave traces

as the last drop falls from
the showerhead just above
her beautiful head, watch it
fall like a raindrop falling from
the sky tracing its decent with
my eye I watch this one land in
her hair but stays fixed in my stare
as it move down and down her hair
so chocolate brown, till it rolls off onto
her soft shoulder then hugs the curves
of her tanned chest just to find its way on
her breast slower and slower it rolls on as
it makes its way to the erect nipple and stays
shining like a diamond in the light casting a prism
of beauty to behold surrounded by goosebumps for she is cold
