pseudo-poetic prolix ~ patchwork perception post psychotic episode

i am
fashioned from
threadbare wings
by a blind god
who painted my aster lips
the darkest shades of fire ~
... obsidian veins
push
pulse
against the dirty snow
& the spiders scurry unseen
across ribbon & blade
burning
[sleep
in the inferno
darling]
lie
cradled in
the crooked curve
of my smirk...
he says:
you can see it
see the madness tint
the jade[d] edges
and spill in dark crescents
below my lashes
*
i painted your eyes
from clots
& licked the walls
to taste what you look like
[zyprexa]
just another hallucination
like the others
all delusions
shadowing my steps ~
... they never flee
before the light
growing bolder by day
by day by day
to stay all night
while i string them
from my prayer beads
howling the destroyer's name
[108 times over
& over &
over again]
kicking dust into my face
where
thoughts of you
cling wetly though
i recoil from memories...
could cut them
from my pale cheeks
but still find your name
scored on my skin
repeatedly
//
hope hangs on to
the blonde roots
i rip
tear
pluck
from my aching scalp
[must hurt
maim
kill something
anything]
eradicate the audacity
to dream
between the nightmares ~
... they wear you
sometimes
most nights
wear you like wolves
with teeth bared
snarling
ravenous
& i'm famished too, darling
so starved of chaos
i'd devour the apple of discord
just to taste hell on earth ...
between the padded walls
with that naked bulb
swinging
tempting
could be me, you know
could have snuffed me
with the flick of a switch
*
can't stop
the crawling bumps
rolling across nowhere
swatting at nothing
with that
dazed
glazed
gaze at fuckall ~
... except them
& accept their presence
grudingly
fleetingly
letting them stay
[i know you
know
they know]
outstaying their welcome
on
my scratch-post-neck
clawed to shit
trying to cleave fire
from my throat...
it's not there though
not really
nothing's real
really

HOW TO CULL (VARIATIONS)

war (head)
            swim the brine death.
hypodermic tongue the tungsten.

light eye cruel and sun dripped
                                      destroyer:
head-full accelerant.
pauper-pace coalesced tastes
dreaming of skin.

lovely one.

              (destroy that fucking firestick.)
   you're never alone.
                          whatever.

bones load baring bones.
                               sky.

longing for.
blue and red cutting out world bits.
you

    stifling this.

chalk/skin, siren, girl.
                          please...

  and be happy.

killing.
       me.

(kills) (me)

kill me.

dig

cup the breast of a humming bird
just to hear thunder

slop jar overflows in the attic
dripping on mama's quilt
will she give me a bull dolla
use the Spanish moss to wipe myself
cause I can't make it to the outhouse

sun's hot
Can't let the monkey catch me
cousin won't tot me no more
so I walk

'squitas don't want me no more
I'm a dragonfly
catch the bullfrog
eat the legs
Say Evenin'
or catch the switch

daddy's dead
I cried
then laughed
cause he didn't take my mother
like he promised

gonna see him soon
Cause I ride to fast
devil gave him a shovel
Me a teaspoon

dig

dig

dig

wish it was Christmas
could use some snow

theorem of inhumanity

the self similarity belies the deconstruction of the hour glass
emaciated stones conceded to the funneling vortex
yet parry with the ascent of the aureate Mandelbrot set

adhan is called out by the muezzin
his echoes tickle dew laden juniper and lilac

o'er the eastern slope the lilted cadence of St. Peter's bells
cascade and shroud the emerald cypress
each panicle a guardian of Koch's snowflake

chocolate coated figs mock the sway of the tolls
their oozing white nectar an aphrodisiac for winged cimmerians

the embouchure of the shofar bows stagnate rays
and percolates cobblestoned trails crested with grapevine leaves
a tessellation of doves bob in the wake of his resonance

all recognize the beauty of the beckoning
none recognize themselves

Popplestone Beach

Hopple, hopple
on the popples--
where the witches went;
you and me
on the beach--
where'd the sand, get sent?

Rocks and rocks,
cracks, they talk;
waves whisper in between.
Skip-a-loo,
wear your shoes
in Manchester-By-The-Sea

Truth In Nonsense

butane eyes belie
the truth in your excrement
smeared on the walls of my mind

slithers on the wind
slimy of hand and heart
chemically addicted gnat

acidic angel with wire hair
blood flows from a drunk carpet
absorbing corruption

cigarette smoking a human
exhaling the ashy soul
the tobacco coughs up a turd

the welfare check talks back
children ringing off the hook
go unnoticed playing off key notes

river of stone
flowing nonsense
from it's garaged nose

housing a white woman
virgin whore
whose skin is snow

black of day
kisses the tarmac
ears to an empty computer

talking walls
don't listen to the ramblings
of a guitar string that has snapped

The Cracker Factory

Cut them from my very soul,
nuts and crackers, in the mold

where was once filled with your love
that flew the coop on wings of doves.

Didn't tell me, we were through--
what the fucka-my 'sposed to do?

Wait--come back!  It's not that bad--
I'm feeling looney-tunes and sad.

Sucker-punched me in the knees,
crackers, crumbling--joke's on me.

The songs of Marty Wilson Piper
sings "Under The Milky Way Tonight" are

what keeps running through my mind;
wish that I was deaf and blind

so I can't hear and I can't see
the cracker factory, where you left me.

- Elemental Six -

Five forgotten gods stood in an ancient temple,
Earth, air, fire, water, spirit… every elemental.
I saw what bold powers went before them all,
In the time before time, when I heard the call…
Across the dark seas between the bright stars,
I fought my first battles, earned my first scars!
Before the dawn of Sol’s light was yet known,
I sailed those seas, until a destiny was shown.
It’s hard to be the hero, with villains all around,
Too many expectations, and no paradise found.
Have you ever started over when all was lost?
So rough it is to begin, when so high is the cost.

There was another, her name lost like a dream,
Who shared my road, as fire does with steam!
She still watches over me from a distant realm,
Her glory and beauty do, my senses, overwhelm.

Who remembers when man was yet so young?
Yet more ancient than remembered in history…
Are those places where we all had come from!
So much is now wrapped up in clever mystery.
Do you ever look up, and think of all there is…
Beyond those things you know, of earthly bliss?
Some of us have heard the call as once before,
The music playing: telling of all that lies in store.
It’s easy to listen, when you know where to be,
Like a vision you have, that you look up and see.
Have you ever wondered which illusion is true?
It’s a universe of deception the truth could undo.

There was a song, ringing clear across the sky,
Which spoke of freedom, and truth none deny!
So many are still singing even though it’s so old,
Because the cause of liberty must always be bold.

It’s been a long road from those ancient halls…
And the elements walk amongst mankind anew.
Time itself is as just one passing cycle, after all,
Some of us were there, when it was made true!
All around us things are changing so very fast…
Sometimes it’s the people that do change at last.
Perhaps the transformation has already begun…
Somewhere else under this world’s familiar sun!
It’s hard to be human, when the mask is so thin,
There’s too many sinners, and not one original sin.
Have you ever felt we’ve met before, my friend?
All this has happened before, and will do so again.

There was another, her name lost like a dream,
Who shared my road, as fire does with steam!
She still watches over me from a distant realm,
Her glory and beauty do, my senses, overwhelm.

- The Temple of the Soul -

In the temple of the soul,
Where the wind, she starts to blow…
Two priestesses with robes so white,
Sing the song that welcomes the night.
Talk about time, talk about rhyme,
Talking about the universe, sublime!

The king in crimson came to the party,
Dancing the night away…
All his court, they sang oh so hearty,
Dancing ‘till the light of day!

In the temple of the soul,
Watch the torches flickering so low…
My priestess sang, your priestess rang,
They made the song that eases the pain.
Talk about ease, talk about peace,
Talking about making troubles cease!

The queen in jade came to the party,
Singing the night away…
All her court, they danced so hearty,
Singing ‘till the light of day!

In the temple of the soul,
Where the flags, they are a-flying so…
Two priestesses with robes so white,
They set the flags to burn with delight.
Talk about desire, talk about fire,
Talking about the time to perspire!

The prince in azure came to the party,
Laughing the night away…
All his court, they laughed so hearty,
Laughing ‘till the light of day!

In the temple of the soul,
Where the party is all out of control…
Two priestesses with robes so white,
They joined the party, ending the rite.
Talk about time, talk about rhyme,
Talking about the universe, sublime!

The princess in jet came to the party,
As the night ran away…
All her court, they were oh so hearty,
Fading in the light of day!

Stay inside my head you gray-haired man witch
and keep me acting like a psycho man bitch
Leave me alone when I crave attention
and make me act out without apprehension

Keep them away, all of them
who needs family in the end
And friends, they never stay
and I know you like it that way

You always said it was only a matter of time
before everyone would leave; how sublime
They are all gone now, and you don't care
more peons out of my hair

Why bother to get out and let loose, pop off
there is no reason to piss; stay home and rot
Keep the evil thoughts coming, oh king shit
Keep trying to get me to get off into a shit fit

"You are in need of serious psychiatric help..." oh gee
Ever hear of a self-fulfilling prophecy?
That is my goal in life; everyone will see
that you are the demon that runs inside of me

Keep me ugly, make me fat
do not ever draw attention, be a rat
hate, disrespect, and loath others like it is fair
Imagine what life would be like if I bothered to care

Why not?  You have to ask?
Remember the past
And how I was ridiculed by everyone
and hated by those who were supposed to love me like a son

You came and never left
Who would have guessed
You, the fucking cunt-licking voice by which I've been led
and who never leaves things quiet inside my head

Don't forget the past, little one, upon it you depend
because in the end, it will determine your end
All the mistakes, all of the regrets
Fuck off, you grey-haired man witch, your as foul as it gets

IN BED WITH LAMB

Strings pulled
asking me to dance
my cold blanket comfort.
Enrapt, watching foreign movement
this side of safe haven ( sobriety)

I was  awake, cornering lucid
watching the suntans glisten in rippled sidewalks
meat-eaters, nines, shark toothed whims on rolling waves.
"Oh the finger itch"
Steed, my friend
Has the time finally come?
SUCCUMB
those tasty bits

I think it fair, I think it just
extermination,
before the call for cattle prods
"Stampedes serve no good in such dense pens"
" yes but there MUST be quiet upon the plain"

Jello, it's animalistic is it not?
SAVAGE
Yes we are, creamed corn
That socket of Davis- knew
" only a shooter marble will do"
Hello my name is Joy
and I'm addicted

Have you not seen the images
those daily pictures
everyone's in slippers
" methinks the fabric just weak"
Sheer heart attack

" clink the cup"
"Wait, not just now"
" the cooks are coming"
" Dixie, show me your gums"
Right, proper, docile
Clozapine
I still know my song
..
" Love American style""
" Change the channel Frank"
Rounds
" Yeah...I got 'em"
"Lets go swimming tomorrow"

THE WRECK

Polystyrene gifts
filling breadbaskets
smother my mothers conscience
in a love hate relationship
Spun along spry In sickly state

Will they never treat me right

I put my ear to the ground
crawling worm- like
hidden from mid-day sun
Retch, following the decrepid crumbs
con your way back to the cave
plead, believing
falling in could save you yet

Water trickles
spillingunder my chin
Creased lines
Dribbled wine
Mounds of Lith
picnics to bone
So far, so far....gone

Let me lead the way Lemmy
take it in ....incense
Breathe deep, the last kiss of sweet sugar

What sleeps in the daylight but afraid of the dark?
Yes, no. Yes, no.
What has wings but never moves?
Yes. No. Maybe so.
Run and catch. Run and catch.
Don't get caught in the blackberry patch.
Run and hide. Run and hide.
Feel the blood run from the thorn in your side.
Yes no. Yes? No. Yes/no. Maybe so.
Whose afraid of the big bad wolf?
The runner, jumper, howler, screamer.
Yes. Yes. Yes. No. Yes no. Maybe so.
The system contains, the fountain overflows.
But the waters are poisoned, and the streets made of dirt.
And only the innocents are spared of the hurt.
Too bad they've all gone to lunch,
You'll have no one to save yours from the flood.
Yes? No. Yes. No? Maybe so. Maybe so.
Whose that hiding in closets?
The man who wears the pretty clothes,
To hide his ugly face.
Shattered, broken, telling lies.
Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No.
Maybe so.
Who is under the baby's bed?
Only the monsters you put in his head.
Button button, who's got the button?
The woman in the dressing gown?
Yes no yes no yes no?
Maybe so.
