Fierce cannibals there lie in wait
to boil us in their pot
"What scrawny fare is this" they cry
our dinner it is not
but hark the skies are filled with noise
salvation is at hand
a helicopter hoves in sight
and then begins to land...

Im sorry I cudnt close the string as I had planned to before the 12th as it fell in India.Do i close this string today anand? Or are you planning to extend the duedate to include more participation?

Thanks Priya...thanks for your concern...Well you are right...the thread is developing so well as you can see that...I think I m gonna extend the dates lil further to invite more talents...as far as your closure is concerned...if you read at the top I have mentioned that the entry that will start shall have to write twice...probably the closure...but that closure is not mandatory...the point is you have to write twice...so I think that even you can twist the climax anytime and can qualify...afterall I am gr8ful 2 you because you have given shape and wings to ma dream competition...

The Gods smiled on the little craft
And had sent a helicopter forth
It shimmeyed forwards over the aft
Whistling rotors spraying the surf

From Sea to Sky the lovers went
He held her hand as he went up so bold
Into the blessed messenger sent
Wrapped in love, safely away in the hold.

Stay unstable it makes life interesting, it gets you through after you've loved and lost.

well, i must admit, i enjoyed this very much... but the part with the whirlybird threw me off spectacularly. i had originally imagined it taking place in a more ancient time, but then, it's not really my story.

i'd reply, but i'm absolutely stumped as to what can happen next!

Oh! turbulent winds the heavens unleashed
this great and powerful storm,
no steel winged haven could ever save them
from fates inevitable form.

to the salty sea below they dove
hands entwined to keep
amid the drifting waves they searched
twilight oceans deep ..

..~to all thOse that inspire.. a creative mind bares no limits,and talents the hands Of thOse willing to achieve~

well dear bindedpleasure...you have attacked and proved that it's not gonna b easy...you have twisted the climax...and you are right Abra-ca-dabra...i THINK SOME SUBMARINE IS MISSING...Its gonna b a transport fair???...can anybody tell me...whatever...continue the ride...lovers saved or un-saved???...I can attach the phrase to the title of the poem...Angels & Demons:-)

Desperate to keep in touch
They binded their hands together
Attached in Love so much

But to survive is not the crux
of happiness, I'm sure, for the
possibility of life carries with
it pain and strife, creaking houses

crushed by tears, shattered china,
soiled lives, albums dying under
dust, and the memories of a honeymoon
now an abstract thought, drifting, drifting.

Diving, diving through the ash
Beyond the past and its ghosts
Leaving the forgotten heart gash
Sowing new seeds, promising oats.

The merman and the mermaid
sat basking on the sand
their eyes like shining jewels
despite their fated plans
