Most noble brother you have done me wrong.
Cursed man, for your truly a damned spectacle
How could you, lead me to the path to heaven only to leave me behind?
Because I abused you, because you were my least
Now, How I rule the underworld. How you are a greedy man. Take my hand, and let us depart for the souls of the undead shrill your name.
you have wronged yourself, the fault here is within..
You, so let's slip the Gods of war.
And let all the goddesses come forth and say this is a man! The clouds now cry havoc as you bathe in the dark red wine of your lusty heart. The millions of babes that have been welcomed upon this door, have wailed and cry but one name "Daddy!" How you ignore your damned children wailing.
Noble Zeus, you have done us wrong.

Noble Hades, don't you see I never even loved you. Don't see every babe was to make room for another made. For this man that walks by death thinks himself so great.

And this man that paints the clouds, deserved this hell more than I.

And you Zeus, have been replaced Christians, for the time of your rule has come to an end, while mine has just begun.

I know there's time on this but for my clarification ... You want a poem or story on a clash of Greek Gods vs. Egyptian ... Chinese vs. Aztec ... That sort of thing ... ?

The Devil Has No Bullets

God can't tell you what to do
or how to do it
God can only make sure
it gets done
because God
has a gun

The Devil tells you what to do
and how to do it
but The Devil can't
make you do it
because The Devil
has no bullets

Yam and Duberdicus

Out,
where the human eye cannot see,
out, out
on the rock
adrift
they sit.
Yam,
Yam of the Canaanites,
let this work on you -
his figure - he's thin and tall and dark of skin,
his head-dress is gold
and his body dusty despite his watery holding.
Duberdicus,
Duberdicus of Lusitania,
'heavily influenced' [wiki quote/unquote] by Celtic mythology,
            come, I'll show you -
his steady, thick hands, his heavy hair,
his muscular build.
There is, obviously, mindfulness of Nabia, her concern for him.

Out,
where the human eye cannot see,
out, out
on the rocks
adrift,
Yam and Duberdicus
open a leather bound case.
Between them they place the pieces,
in their two, five, three, five order of brown and white on either side of the board.
They role a single dice and begin to play.
Yam seethes at his counterpart, his opponent,
"Are you not ashamed, Imposter?"
Duberdicus moves his doubles,
his paler lips curl up at the sides and accuse,
"You are humorous to continue this forgery."
They play
until again one or t'other loses, or wins.
They promise each other they'll not return,
understanding the reasons behind the feud.
Each evening come and they swim from the boulder
out
to the depth of humans souls,
The morning brings a refreshing, bitter disgrace upon them both
when they wake together, with a case, on a stone.

Out,
where the human eye cannot see,
out, out
on the rock
adrift,
they sit.

Midnight Jaguar

When the old Gods of
Mount Olympus and the Lords of Xibalba
grew tired of inflicting

Plagues

Famine and

Drought

on the others' kingdom

father summoned me
his favorite bastard
to walk the trail of the damned
in our enemies' kingdom

one warrior
one final battle

to the death

I knew the way of the dead
as I had escorted many souls to Hades

often wondering

Could I find bliss cloaked in eternal darkness

soulless

thoughtless

blameless

should I succeed in my sojourn
father would have what he desired most

the maidens of another kingdom

fail
and he would not shed a single tear for me

so it begins

seduced by the curvaceous
dusky sands of the sky
draped in midnight
I walked the path towards judgement
in the city pulsating below hurried souls

the wake of her rivers breathing

blood

scorpions

pus

seduced and humiliated
soporific vibrations resonate in plucks
of this marionette's wires
my flesh dissected and tethered for
the Lords of Xibalba
the chime of dangling bones rattles with
the melodious howls of

sickness

starvation

destitution

my soul the torch in front of the flame
in this place of fear
twelve jurors holding  court
blowing me out in vertical strands
that illuminates self loathing
and the contorted faces of Vucub-Came
and Hun-Came
camouflaged within the cave

ten demons beckon the distortion
that is me
dancing as a venom-less scorpion
on the hot stove

the wings of my feet long since scorched ebony

the deconstruction of my echo begins
in six perilous houses

Dark

Cold

Jaguars

slivers of my mind prove elusive
the rest useless to them
and I move through

Bats

Razors

Heat

the trial has ended
the verdict disseminated
Hun-Came proclaims I've succeeded

my life is spared

forever cursed with that
which I want least

but father has that which he desires most

Another bastard

for when Jupiter travels the skies
to consort and seduce a maiden of the rainforests

he coveted the sun
to blacken his trail
from the jealous eyes of Juno

his conquest were many
in the light of the dark

marked by his

black hand

And Blacker heart

the birth of
the Midnight Jaguar

Aphrodite, I know your hiding in there
come out and show me where
Or are you going to remain in shame
because a naked female's beauty is an ugly female's game

Jysetha, I know that upon your stomach rests
your two pendulous breasts
You know nothing about beauty
only sorrow and poverty

Aphrodite, you unfaithful goddess of hell
Let me bring you sorrow and constant quarrel
then let's see who is the fairest of fair
I'm the one, you see, with the fettish for long hair

Jyestha, you sit with your legs spread
because of the fat of your thighs, it is said
that you were meant to represent sloth
with an elephant face and garments of red cloth

Aphrodite, you came from the ocean
rising from a castration of male body parts wherein
their foam rises and a female form starts
and you've broken many hearts

Aphrodite, you stepped on many a man's toes
I don't blame you for keeping your crotch hidden with bows
Just remember that we both hail from the same ocean
you of shining beauty and killer of men

Jysetha, you were worshipped for a short time
until women found out that you dwelled in the sin of all mankind
I was not born of the poisonous streams
but like you, I am also a killer of dreams

Ironic how they seem to be as different as black and white, yet horrifyingly similar.

Ooh mars..come forth and take your rightful throne
For this is more of a dirge for women moan;
The fact that some other douche named zeus
Claims the throne is his to manipulate and use.
Oh me oh my the world cries.
His bolts of lightning have raped our lands bare

Mars you are the tru ruler
Your might so rich so true
Come claim your throne
For i shall forever rue
The fact that some douchebag
Rapes your harlots and populates your land with bastards.
And claims he is the one and true

Many thanks DarkDreams on the acknowledgement for this piece.  It was fun playing around with the idea of a battle between two ancient kingdoms of Gods, and explaining the creation of a "mythic" creature.  In researching this I found out only 6% of Jaguars are born "black".

Cheers to Imperfected Stone, and all others as well.
