Loving you

Dedicated to CY

I love you
I know not how to adequately express
What
These three words are meant to convey
I love thee
Still
Not adequate enough

Every part of me loves thee
Mayhap
This is too intimate for me to put
                  To words
                             A phrase
              Far easier to convey
                       My passion for
                                     Your touch
My longing
        To caress
                    Along the length and breadth
       Of thee
                Have all of you
                          On
                          All of me
                              You
                           Inside
                               Me
                        tightly fitting
As tightly as two can be
                         Entwined
                                  Holy
                   Sacred
Sacrosanct rites as old as humankind
Bound in blood by flesh in seed
By soul in musk by sweat in
            Pain by transcendent
                        Joy
This
Effort
To
Write
Love
Hurts
  Feels woefully inadequate
             Words: meaningless void
We love enough to be free together
                           Free
To explore others
To communicate wholly
                           Completely
To always be each other as we are for ourselves and for each other
With you I am not stifled
I do not pretend to something I am not
       To someone I cannot be
           I am, simply, me
             And you accept
                  And love
             As I accept you
                  And love
I never thought could be this way
           You are the miracle
                Within my life
                     My heart
                      My soul
You helped to set me free
From constraints binding me so tightly
I could not breathe freely, yet I feared this was how I had to live, had to be, that none would ever know or accept me just as I am
                     Then
                          Along you came
Unbeknownst to me, you were my bruised and battered knight and I, your not so maidenly, Joan of Arc
Nor so virtuous, pious, or pure
                                          No matter
I battle by your side
                      And you have me there
              We two
             Have I told thee
                  How I love you?

         revenant nude

a vision comes to me
when I have worked
at my desk too long,
or studied too much poetry.

the flesh of a memory.  a woman.
that I once desired.
that I still desire.

she shimmers. in the tremulous air.
out of reach.
and I dare not reach.

she is nude.
rare beauty must never be obscured.

would you throw a sheet
over a painting of Goya’s Maja?
the art of Caravaggio?
chiseled passion of Rodin?

I trace the ghosts of moments.
that I must forget.
that I will never forget.

as the vision wanes
prodigal of essence
I strive to maintain.
I soldier in vain.

my eyes cannot hold
all of her beauty.

Who Wouldn't?

He's the kind of guy who reads me poetry
because he doesn't know what to say
or, because he's absolutely positive
but, knows someone else said it better

the sort of guy who'd backpack to Antarctica
live in an igloo, for love
then kill himself in some darkly humorous way
just to add to the tragedy of the ending
if it didn't work

he'd go all in
on a last hand
with the odds stacked against him
while walking the plank
with a smirk that'd confirm
he'd won, either way
and got the last laugh, regardless

because, no matter how deep his philosophies get
"fuck it, let it be"
is always his bottom line
and, though I've never met a more peace loving soul
I've also never met one more willing to fight
or more capable of doing it right

and, he can dream
the kind of limitless, utterly preposterous
magic filled sort of dreams
so perfectly well, that the impossible seems
rationally plausible, even probable

he's the epitome of an extremist
with bursts of radicalism
in his lack of concern
although his every apathetic thought
is still laced with care
because, he believes in alternate endings
in the heroes being resurrected
at the last second

he's woven Rumi and Nietzsche
into his own theories
every single one, based on personal freedom
and general uprising
he'd sit for days and nights, explaining them
if I needed something more to believe in

I love him
but, looking at him
as he daydreams, and talks about
night being day in a nearby dimension
and life being death in the form of a prison
that we will surely dance our way out of
any time now...
I think, who wouldn't?

I can't even remember a time when I didn't

"The death of a beautiful woman, is unquestionably the most poetical topic in the world."

Edgar Allan Poe

headstone

to die with and for her is what I desire most
i seek not the dreary existence of the complacent
i crave the insanity of her unknown
her untapped reservoirs
i beg her to smother me with the dreams of other men

and women who cull her

she's afraid to love me that endlessly
says I don't deserve it
because I've failed at the most critical times

she says

that it's better if I let her die
let the bells till the soul

coffee black and muddied
are mine intentions on the spade

trapped in my nostrils for days on end
evaporating with the morality meant to condemn what's most native to mine eyes

And tongue

I speak her
though she says it's a lie

shall I be drawn and quartered

my sinew
gossamer for the carrion feeders
until I choke out one utterance

which shall be my last

her name

The Treasure

I’ll bring you a treasure of sunset gold
I’ll give you the wealth of my dreams,
In offering warmth of the desert sand
Or the coolness of a mountain stream,

If you would but trust your hand in mine
And say we shall never part,
I'll build you a throne, of the moon and the stars,
And I will lay at your feet my heart.

http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/poems/190975-being-there/

Being there

I want to be there
To witness a love shared and worth living for
To see beauty and to stand in awe
To feel love and return it in spades
To hear you saying I do and me saying it right back
I just want to be there

I want to be there
To witness the growth of mutual love and live it
To see through failings and concentrate the positive
To feel trust and to trust without question
To hear I’m sorry and have the good grace to accept it
I just want to be there

I want to be there
To witness the birth from our union and try not to pass out
To see a child born into love and to show unconditional love
To feel proud to be a parent and do your parental best
To hear that first cry and give comfort until it passes
I just want to be there

I want to be there
To witness that first step and encourage more
To see your child grow and work tirelessly to make them happy
To feel their heartbeat as they sleep on your chest
To hear those first words and long to hear them say daddy
I just want to be there

I want to be there
To witness love regardless and to give of the same
To see you become more beautiful with age and appreciate it
To feel like I’m never alone even when I am
To hear the words I love you more and feel them back
I just want to be there

I want to be there
To witness a love unfettered by aging or dying
To see love conquering everything put in its path
To feel a love that is eternal and always mutual
To hear an all consuming love song that never ends
I just want to be there
Forever : with you

Next to You

If I am to be heard and not be seen
does my message still feel true
to see my face and expression
will help relay to you

I am trying to say how much I care
Within these lines I write
On how much I am missing you
when were apart at night

Not just the physical needs I want
or to hold you in my arms
I love to just look into your eyes
and keep my soul so warm

There is nothing that's more truthful
than looking nose to nose
to feel you breath and smell your scent
real feelings we expose

We have survived this so far
and we will until I retire
there is no way that it will quell
my lust for your desire

- Dearest Heart -

Oh, my dearest heart, twin to my soul,
I love you with the utmost of my being.
Both with passion beyond all control…
And with a heart beyond mortal seeing!
With everything I am and all I ever was,
I love you, and am yours for all of time.
And I shall love you ever, without pause,
Until the stars become far less sublime…
Than the magic of our fair beating hearts.
Even galaxies beyond all mortal counting,
Have less of our true enchantment’s arts.
All universes are in our love, abounding!

I long to hear your heartbeat as we lie…
Wrapped in each other’s arms, at night!
I long to kiss you, until it makes us sigh,
Until we are lost: in every sort of delight.
To hear you whisper my name lovingly…
As I rest my head upon your bare chest,
That is like unto earthly paradise, to me.
You are the heaven that I long for best…
And I am the angel who, is home at last,
At your side, where I forever belonged!
Soon, you will part from a haunted past.
Your future with me will be, like a song!

We shall sing brightly, in our happiness…
And the good spirits will all sing with us.
I will attire myself in most splendid dress,
And give myself to you in a lover’s trust.
The summer birds shall sing in their joys!
But we two lovebirds will have our own.
Free of hatred and sorrow that destroys,
We will be together, one love, one home.
We are two dearest hearts, one rhythm…
Bound beyond all time, to walk together.
And in your face I see the beauty within!
I am yours my dearest, now and forever.

I moved on I swear I did but why do I keep getting flashbacks of us
and how we spent our summer nights together
why do I remember every word you've said to me
I go back to places we've been in hopes I'll see us exactly where my dreams left off.
Why do I melt every time I see your face and why does it hurt to see you with her.
I moved on I swear I did but I say your name all the time in my head because you owe me something
you owe me time and hope and love and hate and more love.
I miss you but fuck you I can't keep torturing my soul with the thought of us ever being together again.
I moved on I swear.

untitled poet .

if there was one last dance sweet-wild-child, it would be with you my love. breaking the line till my feet bled while the music broke the rhythm in my head. if one last poem was written, i'd write it for you love. search the metaphors, similes and alliteration from the depths of the heart, till blood no longer circulated. type each word with so much care that my fingers would cramp filling it with so many words it would challenge the dictionary. if there was one last breath beautiful woman i'd use it to lock lips with you. gasp it and hold it, left with the taste of you swirling in my being and sucking you in to feed me for eternity.

if i fall again, i want to fall into you babe from the top floor of the empire estate, a free fall because i love you. if there is one last prayer woman i pray i never again would have to lock you away and that we could live together love inked in each others lives, even if only for my very last day, my lovely.

rest

(to wrap myself
in you would be like
climbing into a welcome bed)

cool sheets beckoning
for a flushed body
and a comfortable
patchwork
quilt
to keep the chill
at bay

each color a
secret
i long to know
and memorize
with each touch of my
deliberate eyes
tracing your patterns
and running the edges through
my careful fingers

i would cocoon myself
in your easy warmth
and lay my weary head
upon the tenderness
of you

my mind
(a constant flurry)
would slowly settle
in your embrace and
dreamless rest
would soon
find
me

GEMINI

Extremely thin
is the line between
reality and dreams.
Naked flesh
which parts are mine
which parts are his?
I like it when I don't have to let you know
You already do,
our lives are true
but just a show.

Just turn to me
we wannna love each other more
I ask you
what is it in me that you fell for?
Just hold me
to perform a perfect play
I adore you cause we think in the same way.

Extremely fragile
is the wall between our minds
Don't be afraid
I won't be either
at least, most times
I don't want much
just give me what I have to own
In a cosmic hate
A carmic unexcepted love is born

Just hug me
we wanna touch each other more
Through waves and hardships
you're the best to travel for
Just count on me
I'll never leave you alone
But baby please
don't take advantage of my love shown

Extremely thin is the line between our minds
Some brains communicate better
at least most times
They talk about chemistry
within our hearts
When you run into mine
you made yours all of its parts

Allow Me In

http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/poems/173289-allow-me-in/

Allow me in
Completely into your essence
Into those places hidden away
From prying eyes and thoughts
Acidic to your soul
Allow me in
Completely into your serenity
The sanctuary of sanity
The garden of recuperation
Where you must retreat
When life demands too much
Allow me in
Completely into your heart
That place reserved for lovers
Allow me to bathe in your loving waters
To feel your womanliness and
All that it entails
Allow me to see the infinite being
Shared only with precious few
Allow me to taste your trueness
The apple of life
To renew my faith
In God and
All things heavenly
