-------------------------------------

1) The Freshness

When it's cold and raining,
you are more beautiful.

And the snow brings me
even closer to your lips.

The inner secret, that which was never born,
you are that freshness, and I am with you now.

I can't explain the goings,
or the comings. You enter suddenly,

and I am nowhere again.
Inside the majesty.

From Soul of Rumi
by Coleman Barks

2)  When your chest is free of your limiting ego,
Then you will see the ageless Beloved.
You can not see yourself without a mirror;
Look at the Beloved, He is the brightest mirror.

From Thief of Sleep
by Shahram Shiva

3) Some Kiss We Want

There is some kiss we want with
our whole lives, the touch of

spirit on the body. Seawater
begs the pearl to break its shell.

And the lily, how passionately
it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask
the moon to come and press its

face against mine. Breathe into
me. Close the language- door and

open the love window. The moon
won't use the door, only the window.

From Soul of Rumi

4)
The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.

Lovers don't finally meet somewhere,
they're in each other all along.

I was most inspired by the fourth, and penned this poem accordingly:

- Tales of Love in the Heart -

Life is in the instant, in the minute,
More than in all the days of ages…
And destiny writes in us as will flit,
The pen not held by mortal sages.
It penned in me tales of such love!
And I heard them within my blood.
Like the call of a sweet pale dove,
Which soars above deepest flood.

Life is that flood, it rushes ever on,
Whilst we navigate, ever seeking…
As I sought for ye, hither and yon!
Whilst my blood felt fire creeping,
Consuming my senses with purity.
Never couldst I hath so imagined,
The fullness of our joined destiny!
It stretches beyond the first origin.

I sought for ye in the deep waters,
The high heavens, the hottest hell!
Amongst myriad sons, daughters…
Angels, gods and mortals as well,
But mine eyes saw not, the whole.
Only when I looked inside of me,
Seeing, thy reflection, in my soul…
Only then couldst I be so set free.

Free, when in thy arms I didst lie!
Happy in my captivity to thee full,
Expressing a blissful satisfied sigh.
My every longing, thou might still,
For we share one soul, one heart.
The tales of love, whispered truly,
For such fair guide doth its’ part…
Leading the seeker ever blissfully.

душа́ в ду́шу*

she dipped her fingers
into the horizon,
painted wishes on stars
with the pulp of promises
made and broken
in a single masculine breath
and watched constellations
liquesce like snow angel wings
beneath aurora's first kiss

her face tilted heavenward
to glance the lips
of the ever changing wind
where it whispered celtic knots
amid delicate willow vines,
she could find no trace
of a half-forgotten name
in the patterns beneath
a looking glass sky

her reflection rained down,
eyes trapped in crystal drops
to skry the four corners
and crevices of the earth
as though he'd slipped
through the cracks
and lay between the weeds,
a four leaf clover, waiting
to find its way to her hand
.
.
.
all she ever needed to do
was exhale

caressing skin
soaked
into
the pours
of your love

drip majestic
beats
of melodies
made in heavenly
tunes
and harpsichords

soft angelic
lips
wrap
full
wordless
love
in their embrace

magnificent
taste
felt
in the depth
of
no-where-land

for a
mindless
moment
the truth
is felt
not heard

your
soft voice
confirms
sentiments
wisely
with just one word

THE ESSENCE OF YOU

I feel You strongly
Holding me as I sleep
I lightly stir, murmuring gently
Thanking You for Your Kiss
You are, for eternity, my Lover

From the time I found You
You've never left my side
You know the Love I have for you
Is greater than these earthly ties
Forever, You've heard my longing
To hold You, to feel Your presence
In the loving touch of another

So, while I'm here on this earth
Fulfilling the promise I made to You
Send me the lover I dream of
Let me feel You in the touch of another
Have their arms entwine me
Their lips entice me
With the essence of You

Inspired by the fourth quote hope you enjoy.

"Lovers"

My soul is connected to yours, I feel what you feel.
You complete me in every way,
Our hearts beat in sync,
Our minds think alike,
You balance me in a way no other could.

I thought I had it all till you came along.
Two lost souls drifting along searching for our hearts true song.
You pick me up when I'm down,
You bring color to my world.
I see things differently now that I have you.

My life will never be the same,
My soul wasn't complete till it found you.
Our lips fit perfectly together,
Our bodys compliment one another.
The stars shine in your eyes as they gaze into mine.
My soul recognized yours because it was you all along I was meant to be with.
