After Death.

After death,
The day I took my last Breaths,
With a Sharp Cold Knife, I ended it all,
One Last Final Fall,
Dark and Twisted,
It didn't get Better,
The Pain didn't Drain,
And Now It Truly will never go away,
Day by day,
I'll Suffer from What I've done,
And Look at what I've Become,
A Cold, Dead, Lifeless Corpse.

Amongst the Dead - an epic poem based on a near-death experience I had once. It is too big to post here in its' entirely, so here is the link to where it's at here on DUP:

The Door Of Eternity

after life
you live in death
then return back to life
it is a never ending cycle
even if you kill yourself
you return back to life
how do you break the cycle?
where you live in Eternity
far removed from having to enter
and reenter into the cycle of life and death?
a different door must open
and when it opens
you must pass through it

Death meant little to my king.
There was not a tear shed by them.
There was crow that was smiling.
My king.. Whom danced with me until my feet bled.
My king who would kiss me until my lips bled.
Never once shed a tear.
My king who gave me a coffin as my wedding present.
As I traveled with these demons on a black boat.
I saw your thick smile.
I saw your hands raise in triumph.
My soul sinking in this black fire.
Why my king?
Didn't you know I would give you anything..
Yes anything else... But my life.

Beyond Death

that death should come
like a thief in the night
flying off the souls
before dawn light

That man should grieve
for their dearly departed
never knowing the destinations...
to be anointed or to burn

deathland indeed is of imagining
will it be Elysian fields
or the sombre halls of purgatory
perhaps fluffy clouds and golden harps

Although I wish my deathland
will be of my dreamland
a small cabin in the woods
of perpetual autumn
before a lake with blossoming hyacinths.

Very happy to see this lovely poem of yours here, Grace! It is most certainly a welcome addition to this contest, and a poem I am quite fond of too. :)

Thanks Jessica dear.

Odin

And death became him,in the end
A kindred spirit,a fatal friend
When life had lost its living
As I rest in my casket
My broken bones,through fire
will burn,my ashen awareness
This sanctuary urn
From the dust I return
To see the daylight
Let it stroke my hair
One day you will find me there

(for Odin,age 13)

he took his life due to being mobbed

Eyes become the sky.

Blending with the Northern Lights.

Bleeding energy.

Human emotion is what you breathe.

Stars make up the heart.

Twilight, and dawn is the aura's arc.

Mind a galaxy.

Solar,lunar and in between.

Atmosphere my flesh.

The love of God is my presence.

I will see the sound...

Of prayer you send into the clouds.

I love you

know

I'm here.

Black Ocean Between the Stars (Wednesday, 21 August 2013)

=========================================================

Should i predecease
I will await you in the
serene Black Ocean
Between the local cluster
comprised of the human gods
.
If you opt for
another turn of the wheel
i hope that less time
seperates us than does now
my once forbidden true love
.
if you opt to join
the amorphous ball of souls
orbiting some god
oblivion shall take us
into its loving embrace

.:Blank:.

Alone.
Encapsulating
Capturing all of what’s done
Conceding to the zeitgeist of zero
Bubbling into a completed reality
Foremost in a structured fluidity
The finality; that duality of balance
Where each subsequent arrival
Morphs into indigo

And away we go...

That entrance
Right into The Darkest Hue
The End Search for what’s called The True
The Final You: Giving into what’s due
Each & every metaphysical form
Converging into the free-formed
The Perfected Norm
Dust. Gone into nothingness

Blank..

This is where
East mirrors West
The in-between of blessed and messed
Posted…the Life -less
The Revealed Truth - Fact; no guess
A loss, the wind - The cause of all fossils to blend
The unspoken cataclysm; the certainty of End

Herein finding the self
Where each one pulls, pushes
Charred remains of burning bushes
Best wishes wanting to recall all innocence
Yearning for it…needing to greet it
Some will regret. The meeting of it
More than halfway...this pathway…
The absence of all things discernible
Relinquishing what’s thought to be historical

What’s notable?

Death… Is it Peace?
Or is it The Unbearable?
At this point we’ll call it the un-curable
The nullifier of shorter & longer breathes
With some labeling Death: “Giving it a Rest”
For others: “The End of The Test”
Taker of time from Beings of Time
The ceaseless sizzle or the constant sublime
There’s nothing or no one who can ever resist
GRACE: full exposure,
The all clearing mist

Sweet Destiny

death greets me warm
finally at peace with life
the conflict rubbed me raw
but now i’m ready to sleep
no more lies or despair
this hell on earth is over
my sandy bed calls me
while the pain departs

family and friends
there’s no need for sorrow
celebrate my memory
when you taste your next tomorrow

flesh and bone
returning home today
my ashes riding the breeze
falling on sacred ground
the heat of the sun
water trickling down stream
flowers are in bloom
i’m nestled in sweet destiny

my sweet destiny..
my sweet destiny..

Hate engulfs the destiny of the weak punishing the masses by my decree. A society of despair distraught by a new nightmare. Evolving backwards with no end in sight false prophets name the end of time. The reign of the hangman has begun setting in motion Armageddon. The hounds run free delivering justice even to the almighty.

I've looked Death in the eye,
I've shook his hand and greeted him

I asked him where we're going
He told me to the place you love the most

Once again i look at him
I don't have one, i don't have a favorite memory,

He looked at me with his black eyes
and held out his hand

The how about we just walk until you can find something
Let's find something together
