Poetry Contest

What if absolutely everything in the world, were one color?
Look around you, and notice all the different colors we're bombarded with.  Pretty normal stuff, to have all these different hues and shades, coming at us from all over the place in the world, but what if suddenly, everything changed to just one color?  The land, the people, buildings, stuff in stores--all of it on Earth.

Write a poem, any style, length, no collabs, about what color you think the world would change to and your thoughts and observations on that.  Enter as many times as you want, but with each entry, use only one color in your write.

1,2,3,Go!  Have fun!

Monochromatic Moments

Here I sit
In DeNial
Face to face with
Somebody Else's Problem
I can't see
Because I won't
Now I find
I can no longer acknowledge
Reality
And the monochromatic moments
string together colorlessly

Flushed on Green

A green world is ideally idyllic
the serene sky so high is teal
reflecting on shades of forest green
at times outstanding landscapes
of apple and yellow-green

the fields are moss green
the lake spring green
the sea is a constant movement
of camouflage and olive green
avocado green fish teems

the green peacock with his feathers
cackles at a plain green crow
with a wriggling luminous worm
on his shiny green beak
and a light green-spot dog barks

People in various shades of green
on their everyday affair
busily collecting green money
for their coffer in green banks
to buy green homes and cars

In all manner and shades of green
the ideal world would be.

Spot the Difference

blue chirps in blue mornings from blue blue birds in blue trees
blue coffee in blue cups
blue yawns, blue toast
blue suits, blue roads
blue ink on blue papers from a blue boss wearing a blue tie over his blue shirt, giving you that blue smug
blue lunch, blue phones
blue clocks, blue homes
blue beer from blue bottles made with blue hops from blue factories in little blue countrysides
blue tabs, blue cash
blue cabs, blue crash
blue lies from blue lips
blue face on blue floor
blue laughs, blue sighs
blue lights and blue sounds from blue cars with blue cops dressed in blue uniforms with shiny blue badges
blue shouts, blue guns
blue bullet, blue blood
blue screams in blue nights
blue moon, blue eyes
blue scratches on blue backs
blue breath on blue lover's blue neck
blue dogs, blue cats
blue roses, blue fat
blue news of a blue war in a blue country with blue people
blue justice, blue power
blue bodies, blue numbers
blue shouts of blue praise in a blue church and blue synagogue and blue mosque for blue souls
blue souls; not Blue souls
blue sermon, blue fire
blue fear, blue ire
blue wailing of blue blues from blue fingers picking blue strings on blue guitars
blue folks with blue holes in their blue hearts
blue race, blue class
blue pride, blue march
blue equality for blue people with blue skin and blue eyes and blue teeth and blue bones and blue blood
blue freedom for blue people
blue party, blue vote
blue animal, blue choice
blue language on a blue passport belonging to a blue man with a thick blue beard and a strange blue turban
blue us, blue them
blue they, blue we
blue you, blue me
blue old, blue young
blue life, blue death
blue nothing
blue everything
blue questions with no blue answers
blue closure, blue tears
blue safety, blue fears
blue colors are blue hues but blue people are people that are blue
blue name, blue flame
blue blame, blue shame
blue same
blue game
blue never stop
blue never change

"Nothing Before Me, Nothing Behind"

At daybreak I woke from a dread-filled dark dream
Opening my eyes to infinite nothing
Feeling my way to the light switch on my wall
The sound of the click was momentary relief
As the glow of the bulb revealed more darkness to me
Than I had ever seen before or behind
A blanket of black entrapped the shape of my hands
Cloaking the image in the mirror that looked back at me
With eyes as wide open as my own though lacking perception
Sensing motion in darkness, seeing waves of cold wind
Carrying smoke so thick it choked my thoughts dry
Till I could not quench this thirst with all of the tears from each eye
Cried in blindness in a mind without light
Without a glimmer of hope or a shadow of white
What terrible curse has stolen a visionaries' site?
Turning the morning's sunrise into an endless midnight
Even my once vivid memory of your beautiful face
Has faded to shackles of black leather and lace
Blindfolds of satin appear covering these eyes
Clearly this dream became a nightmare of lies
Where rainbows once rose to shower on me
Now vacant your once sparkling gaze
In a mind full of one color
There is nothing to see

Pink Platoon

I got a mask
deep pink in hue;
I'm tickled pink
that you do too.
Rosy cheeks
Rosy lips
on each mule.
Rosy hips
take hard pink lipstick bullets
pink guns too.

Bubblegum bombs
burst in air
Rosie Riveter
has pink hair
Every mudball
is dark pink
splatter of
affection’s stink
Eveready pink hare
beats a head drum snare.

Rosy rings
around my eyes
crackled pink tears
no surprise
Gas mask lenses rosy too
cracked from impact
of pink shoe.
Swat down pink balloons
like rosy war pig flies.

FAVORITE COLOR

Close your eyes my beloved
and imagine for a moment…
you’re in Wonderland
when all of a sudden
everything around you
turns red!

Fiery red solar flares
igniting the atmosphere,
fire and brimstone
falling unexpectedly from the sky
on such a warm and beautiful day,
burning bushes and buildings—
a towering inferno of flaming red,
bloodbaths caused by warring nations
turning elysian fields and meadows
into a river of blood;
reminding me of the Nile
in the days of yore.
Across vast oceans of red tides
red cloak of death proudly waves,
all over the continents
wildfires and killing fields
have turned this world into

“a great ball of fire.”

Nothing more looks beautiful, but
you—carefully arranging a dozen red roses
and a bottle of red wine
over a spread of red blanket
under a canopy of red mulberry trees.
You can open your eyes now,
to see my bleeding heart
from days of agony,
acts of contrition, lamentation—
whispering adieu
to the red dawn fast approaching,
as the raging fire within me subsides.
Yet, you choose not to open your eyes
while your red-apple lips and cheeks
slowly lose your favorite color,
until it fades away.

.:My ORIGINAL BLEW:.

Alex.
Painting pictures
Emphatically cool textures
Didn't say it
But might've meant it
Experience
Happens when you let it
The Blues will have you vetted
The Blues, is
what it do

First time eye met it
Saw things. Bluesy Blue things
No, can’t forget it
The Blues. Thought my mission was to get it
In my case if I only knew
That the Blues would “only” bring what’s due
Least what looked to be true

This is what eye felt
First time, that Blue Belt
How it waxed my ass
Ma and The Blues bringing The Wrath
Her & The Blues, my blues
Citing a better path

The straight path
No mistaking
The one needed taken
I blew[En]Forcing me to see
Whomever chases the Blues
Most always pays The Fee

one nation under tyranny

a blind man sees only silence
a deaf woman hears only serenity
a mute child speaks only truth
but the bold masses of perfect health and senses
are insane
the more intelligence an individual has
the less respect he has for others
and they adopt a way to be gods
ruled by their passion for supremacy
they fashion new technology
to destroy
all forms of unacceptable anomaly
the blind
the deaf
the crippled
the lame
extinguished by the fire, the fury, the flame
of perfection
no one is allowed to enter this world flawed
this world belongs to vain and proud gods
creatures who are blind, deaf, and mute
to silence, serenity, and truth

The Purified World

I yawn for the innocence of an infant
I crave for the perfection of creation
I long for the honesty of carnivours
Can I illuminate like the light?
Can I be neutral like the neutrons?
I preview my association with the beggining
Can I be new daily like morning dew?
A glass of milk or a cone of snow?
The fur of a polar bear or a unicorn?
Maybe thier purity and grace are enough

All white everything!

I'll make you my best friend.
I wish I was white coloured.
Dressed in white robes like an angel
Yes, I wouldn't scare people like a ghost.

oh White! my beloved.

Paint the sky white and rain ice creams.
Turn the oceans white and flow milk.
Cool the deserts soil with a flood of snow.
Forgive my dark heart and make it pure and stainless.
Make everything like you and you'll be sure as hell that; conflicts, chaos, wars and all evil will sink down to the abyss

Oh dear white!
Bring forth your light.
Please shine bright.
Take away the nights.

I pray for a purified world.
The gray is still filty as mud.
Ash is no near perfection either.
Wash, bleach and  make everything neater.

Make my world white.

Equilibrium

I crave for an endless reign where everyone belongs to the royal family,
I yawn for an empire where everyone has a throne,
I pray for a kingdom where everyone is a king,
sarate my soul with a keg of power,
dye my urge for freedom with with a spring of peace,

Equilibrium is all I seek,
no subject,
no slaves,
everyone serves himself right or wrong,
take blames for your course,
pick your cross,
wear your glory.

Our flesh is the servant of our enthroned mind,
so no one is responsible for poor service or bad leadership,
you determine your habitat,
no one enjoys at the expense of someones sufferings,
we will all be like gods,
we listen to our pleas,
we suplicates our needs and wants,
we will be like our religion.

Imagine an empire filled with;
nobility,
luxury,
power,
ambition,
wealth,
extravagance,
creativity,
wisdom,
dignity,
grandeur,
devotion,
peace,
independence,
and magic.

We will all stand with pride and be our misunderstood mysteries.

Take away the Poor-Pool,
I'll have my pains and Pur-pulled,
paint the world Purple.
