Far away he does live

yes there it is
the bottom
she leans over the precipice
waves swirling in the distant pool
she steps forward
with toes pressed firmly
against the edge
she stares straight ahead
raises her arms gracefully
and leaps
for that brief moment

it's that time of year
where the trees start
furiously combusting
into riotous hues
as the ground starts to freeze
the streets are lined and alight
with purging blooms
erasing yet another yesteryear
