Poetry Contest Description
new only, one each, a poem on a poet of your choosing, any style
“great writers are indecent people
they live unfairly
saving the best part for paper.
good human beings save the world
so that bastards like me can keep creating art,
become immortal.
if you read this after I am dead
it means I made it.”
― Charles Bukowski,
they live unfairly
saving the best part for paper.
good human beings save the world
so that bastards like me can keep creating art,
become immortal.
if you read this after I am dead
it means I made it.”

Wondering
I read him,
sighing over words created
by this namesake of winters day
a butterfly, of all flying insects
and wandering in woods
wondering if he should stop
I read him,
smiling at his hesitation
to stop, as he had promises to keep
to whom what were they pledged?
seize the day he said then
so well used now, Carpe Diem
I read him
and what he wrote
no, I have never bought
New Hampshire: A Poem with Notes
and Grace Notes, though.
where some of his poems are
I read him,
this man with great thoughts
and wondrous talent
a man of pain and sorrow
muses dark and lonely
kneeling on the altar of Bacchus
He now slumber peaceful
under the sod of the earth
with his last word on his stone
"The Lesson for Today (1942):
"I had a lover's quarrel with the world."
God Rest his Soul.
RIP:Robert Lee Frost (March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963)

( born a very long time ago, lived right up until he died at the grand ol’ age of stone dead)
All is fair in love and war.
a six word idiom
that reached far beyond
the eyes
that focused on The anatomy of wit
which is fair enough
and far be it for me to question
the wisdom of such an export
or the motive of the mind
that gives the words refuge
but, I wonder
if put into context would it not suggest
that during the play
of either endeavour,
one could employ any manner of deed
and feel no need for consequence

The wonder of wonderment. I can only imagine the challenge keeping up and assisting the web mistress in navigating this site. However, surely, you are one who possesses the veracity for getting the "task" done. Regarding your question to miki, I don't claim to speak for her or anyone else on the site, but I must wonder falling short of any unseen calamity, should we have any reason to suspect miki won't continue to host this competition thru it's scheduled completion?
Concerning unfinished business she did last week provide and post the following relative to her departure:

I will be around to finish my competition and work with the poems I have here getting to their final resting place.
Love and light
Again, barring any unforeseen event, my expectation this whole thing will run it's due course. I'm sure it will. Anyway, I do apologize to you, this thread's active participants and its host for my interruption. I'm one of those writers who also dislikes tainting the flow of a competitive contest with unrelated matters.
Moving along
