I would like thank everyone who participated and took this challenge. On this side of the comp, the judging and scoring were quite involved (more than it was realized originally) with so many great entries while evaluating the submitted Haiku/Senryu along with the actual poems linked.

Ms. Chi spent countless hours reviewing and the pdf file she sent to my email was astounding with meticulousness.  My deepest appreciation for her dedication and perfection judging this comp. Thank you so much!

Each submitted work was read and scored concentrating on the following focal points.

1. Haiku/Senry (syllable count and depth)
2. Level of difficulty (proportion between poem and Haiku)
3. Adaptation
4. Smoothness
5. Beauty

Oh, thanks Rina for mentioning my "work" on those beautiful haikus/senryus. Thanks to YOU for your splendid idea to raise this comp and for being such a lovely host.It was pure pleasure and an honor for me to go through the original poems and their wonderful haiku/senryu adaptions! Loved to read them all and was surprised about the conciseness and the creativity you all mustered up. It is so hard to shorten a free verse poem into a lyrical and meaningful haiku. Thanks to all of YOU for regaling us with your terrific contributions!!!
