Haiku: Unfinished Sweets

No more cookies, dear.
Hit and runs are just not fun.
PAINFUL emptiness.

Yes, that's a good idea-- lock this thread until the other comps are finalized. I'll reopen this once I see the others get their winners announced, and if anyone's started a piece for this comp, sit tight and hold on for now. Thanks!
CUTTING JUST TO KNOW I AM STILL HERE
I cut my wrists just to know I am still here but wondering why dont I just end it all forever.
The blood drips to the floor as I lay there thinking I want to do more .
The pain of this world I cant take it anymore .
I look at the knife and smile from ear to ear.
I take it by its beautiful handle and slice even deeper .
The blood drips faster soaking everything and even though my mind is fadeing .
I know one thing I am still alive to suffer more pain from this crule and fucked up world .
But I do know one thing the knife that is mine lets me know I am still alive to suffer untill I die ..........

It's unlikely I'll see you again
I wonder what you'll tell everyone
what you'll tell yourself if you ever ask
though I admit there's little hope of that
You and I know of the cold shoulder
the spaces that sat empty between us
and my lack of choice although I tried
until seeing that someone had to fight
for me for once
In the moments that logic dictates
I should want you close
and seek your comfort
I fall silent
still
memories of your absence
and how I used to wonder
what I'd done to deserve it
keep reality beyond my explanations
I loved you once
and it hurts that the feeling
was never mutual
that you gave me life
then tried to take it back
It's not likely I'll ever see you
again and as long as I can rise
above who you are and what you tried to
make me into
then I'm proud
that I could never live down
to your standards
