Poetry Contest Description
The previous author will add an image and the next person will write a poem using the image as a muse.

Okay, you, the reader will be expected to write a poem solely surrounding the image above. When you have done that you will need to leave an image at the bottom of your poem that you find interesting for the next reader to write about.

Floating
Floating in space
a place with no gravity
changes to my reality
but I'm still me
Floating
breathing living amongst the stars
arms out stretched knees bent
floating above millions light years away
Missing the things and people I love
on this journey this job above
but soon I'll make that journey back
where I will feel complete
to drink the coffee and eat the sweets
but what I love most is the faces I see
when lay that love at their feet

It's easy enough. first find your image, it's easiest to get one from google . right click on the image and click on 'copy url' then go to desired thread click reply at the bottom right then click on the image box (beside the smily face) and paste the url you copied from your image. .....simples :)

Probably weren’t nothing but dog days anyway

You were onna trip the rest of us couldn’t understand
So go on and free-fall
Only gravity makes one heavy
And there ain’t none, so you ain’t.
Heavy. Just another sad-funny man gone
One who was a bit too clear
But not clear enough for himself
The sad part(ing) now seems so blurry
Wherein you & your see-thru piercings
They’ve gone through & through
X-rayed for the whole galaxy to see
Yet still. Born and blind.
And now you’ve gone beyond naked
Truth...taking it
Right into that final frontier
Maybe laughing up the place
Least as much as you can.

He was here you know
his crusted yellow eyes
glaring at his family
He shot them one by one
saving the last bullet
for his dog
All the neighbours saw
was his truck rattling away
Before the sirens sounded.

Kate, you can't upload directly from your collection...you have to upload it first to your Google account, deviantart account, etc...if you don't have one yet, then you have to create an account on whatever you wish.
Once you have your pics uploaded, then right click with your mouse "Copy image url." You have to use the ADVANCED feature (green button with white arrow, between blue eyeglass and submit reply button at bottom right corner of Quick reply column) when posting here. Use the insert image function next to smiley face. (Note: insert address of your image by typing Ctrl-V simultaneously. Ctrl-V is equivalent to PASTE command.

Warms the heart complete
Reminding me of times long gone
When exuberance infinity
Was easily in reach
No need for silly ladders
Or even tippy-toes
I simply raced with innocence
Where my want would go
To and fro...and back again
Rounding endless bends
Only resting when I must
Peaceful in my dreams
For epic journeys seamlessly
Moved from real to ethereal
Never breaking stride
My ever faithful teddy bear
Clutched, and at my side
And a new image...
