Of all the rules you could bend, you stretched the least important. So I am quit happy to consider the extra words, as a hint that humanities dooming of the world will be its "biggest" undoing. And that the reasons for this will be "extensive".
Good write :)

[181 words]

three fish [&] five loaves

[let us eat]

whatever you need
keep faith
[believe]

hunger for me
give thanks to the almighty
and you shall receive

[feed]

feed the masses
those I call my people
listen and witness a miracle

the world is our basket

reach inside
take my body
and eat it
[feast]
like glorious pigs
take whatever you want

scour the ocean beds
till seas drown in silence
smothered in a cloud of sand
unveiling
a vast desert of night
depleted and barren of [life]

slaughter
every beast
like a shepherd
lost in the shadow
of an unmerciful god
[sacrifice] life in excess
gorge on the flesh and blood
of your herd
the wild, sacred and endangered

[yield]

sow and reap
degrade thy field
raping bosom and womb
of mother earth
until she is raw
bleeding salt
and eroded with scars
[devastate]
and burn her forests
reduce her to pulp
for paper
to wipe my people
clean of [sin]

eat me
eat the lamb of god
swallow every mouthful
devour your saviour
and choke
starve
spread disease
and die
in the [race] to consume

-Do as you are told-

With the quarters of humanity getting closer
The fight for space becomes more intense with each day
Religion plays such a heavy roll in so many lives
Every god says the other is a pack of lies

Bomb off the Jesus
And crucify Mohammad
Fuck all religions
Why can’t you get off it?
It’s what’s killing us all
Believing the unseen
You’re wrong so self-righteous
It’s all but a dream

If killing the innocent is what your god demands
Then you take up arms and give no second chance
Without an original thought you do as you’re told
With the promise of heaven and all that it holds

Like sheep to a slaughter
Blindly you follow
God is a wolf
Whose appetite is hollow
Open your eyes
Your mind will be blown
There is no heaven
We’re all on our own

THE ROLLING WAVES OF DOOM
The ocean,once so blue,
is now a slimy grey.
I wish we could undo what we started!
Oill is like an infestation.
It started in one isolated corner of the Earth
Oh! How quickly it spread.
It thickened the water to a putrid slime. suffocating fish. All that's left.
putrid soot covers the sky.
Mixing with the rolling waves of slimy water.
It is now grey.
Acid falls like rain.
Cities corrode away
All is lost.
The waves of doom have passed,
but there is nothing left but death.

KILL THE SAINT

There came one who promised all the open skies
With a winning smile, open arms
We welcomed the devil in disguise

Giving a piece of peace in our hearts
He came to us beneath the stars
An open hand in times of need
In our lives, he became a part

But soon all the lies came to light
Upon our land there came a blight
A jagged shard stabs in our faith
Into our souls, he set to rape

Unleash the rage and kill the saint
With blood-soaked rags remove the taint

Liberty for all is what the words had said
But drag them through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

What’s it’s like to live with a price on your head
You’ll be dragged through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

Living high and mighty on the hill
Revel in our sorrow just for thrills
Lending us a selective ear
Better to move in for the kill

A black robed pope high on his throne
The hem stained with blood, dust of bones
Betrayal enforced with closed fist
For freedom, we must resist

Unleash the rage and kill the saint
With blood-soaked rags remove the taint

Liberty for all is what the words had said
But drag them through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

There came one who promised all the open skies
With a winning smile, open arms
We welcomed the devil in disguise

What’s it’s like to live with a price on your head
You’ll be dragged through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

STUPID HUMANS

Silly humans are so stupid,
I don't think I'm any better,
humanity is doomed for sure,
but really, like, it's whatever,
it seems to be,
we don't take seriously,
that the world is ending,
instead we act like it's all good,
stupid humans, stop pretending,
for obviously, we are distracted,
from that which really matters,
using the earth as our personal trash bin,
if we really love her, why do we trash her?

So I'm sorry if my bad attitude,
impedes on your guilt free reveling,
but I'll keep quiet no longer,
I can feel the earth trembling,
Actually, I'm not sorry,
you're sorry, stupid humans,
you fat greedy bastards,
overweight from excessive consuming,
Soon mother earth will rid herself,
of all us stupid humans,
she'll destroy our silly cities,
take the lives of me and you, and,
once she's rid herself of the human disease,
she will finally have some well deserved peace...

Congrats to the Violence for winning and miki for runners up.

Arthur, thanks for running the comp. I have some feedback for you. If you want poets to take your comps seriously and want solid participation, I suggest you stick to the rules you set, because changing the rules midway isn't cool on the poets who have already posted. And you'll figure out pretty soon that other poets, like miki and myself, ain't so lenient when it comes to running our own comps.

Welcome to DU.

Thanks for the trophy Arthur! There were so many good ideas in this competition I wasn't even expecting a runner up. Well done to those who got runner up spots and everyone else who made this a competition.
