not a prob craic...

who would of thought he could do it?
here he is perched on his longboard
on the best wave ever
he flies past her with a leer on his face
his erect member used as a prop
making clear his intentions

and he was crowdfunding
with the old ladies at the bingo hall
said he'd do them all if the price was right
cos he'd a journey to jump on:
a place where the sun shone
'til the moon took the sky as her own
he'd showed them the picture on his phone
a stark beauty, radiant and lovely
and he took them all to the toilet
one by one they came and went
spent their winnings, and smiled
all the way home

life is confusing...
i woke this morning wanting to play the trombone
that thought was quickly followed by a mental flash of the prong
did any of them play the trombone i mumble to myself
i'm feeling all this is a surety i'm going crazy...
why would i want to play the trombone?

it's always the same dream:
stirring sugar into black coffee
fresh pissed out of some machine
midway down a corridor
coloured two tones of pale green

I'd  feel apologetic for the noise
in case it had frightened someone
and worse

I'd see an old guy
shuffle up to a male nurse
grab him by the elbows
and ask

"In the case of Alzheimer's
at what point does euthanasia
become abortion ? "

fragment,  acetic   pleu

the one thing I have always loved the most about your writing, craic, is the simplicity. You are the master of a short and easy read that has the power to dissect the insides and rearrange the thought patterns. I have always admired your talent.
that said, I wanted to write in this thread and you left me three complex ass words that I can think of no way of using. For your penance, please take your own three words and write a piece that shows me how its done.

Thank you in advance :)^****

The words acetic and pleu present before me
I was confused by them
I felt they must be a fragment of other words like acetic acid
or a misspelling of pleur which is a variant of pleuro
In which case I can say my side(s) are aching from so much coughing
'Tis a harsh assignment you've set Craic
Which may have to be answered only by you
Or are they some strange Gaelic words I have no knowledge of?

we swam in the scent
of fresh baked pleu berry buffins
and she pulled out a block of ripple
"to calm the acetic nature
of the pleu berries
when they fragment under heat"

a pause for contemplation:

the ice cream was the breakthrough
all those years ago
Aunt Booboo, god rest her soul
knew how to throw a dinner
without the meat and potatoes
of it all

she should have her own rune

i even rubbed them like a genie's lamp
to make sure what i saw was right
on the cricket pitch was an amazing sight
a dog dancing the polka
it was pure delight

There are times I like to play with myself but in this instance it would be good to have others playing along...so please give it some thought to play this never ending comp...it stimulates the mind to work 3 words into a poem which doesn't have to be a masterpiece i.e. spending hours contemplating if it sounds right...I find it's best done to let the words flow and besides all that you will find it'll stimulate your creativity....😉

As I rode home on the train
Reading the evening edition
and article on the inter-net
was the editors own composition

i try not to be rigid
with my likes and dislikes of weather
but the rain makes me feel engorged
as i greedily eat to fill my time
please bring on the sunshine

tray, sticker, mosquito

I kept staring at the tray
the dent at the corner
made me think of another
similar item that knocked me
unconscious for a few minutes

the sticker at the rim
showed a skull and cross bones
did it mean the tray was poison
or poisoned

a mosquito buzzed by
and dropped dead.

the event was laughable
in fact it showed my moronic behaviour
i didn't mean to but i guess
i chose to humiliate my host
oh woe is me for acting like a flea

cushion, windchime, pool

I heard the windchime
tinkling like crystal bells
as I walked in the garden
where a pool with waterlilies
thrived
the moss on the tree stump
was like a green cushion
I felt ultimate peace
and for a second
I glimpsed the threshold of Eden.

The weather elements were joining forces
Wind, rain, occasional lightning meant storms were brewing
The river could rise flooding the town if this continued
I asked my guardian angel to protect us all
