Don't play with your food

Burning Brightly In Brilliant Light,
Until We Burnout And Vanish,

Washed up
Burned out
Used up
Cast aside
No better than your last slap on the back
The knife handle still warm

Washing drying on the line
hot sun and tropical wind
smell of frangipani
rustling bamboo leaves
mere memories

never a shirt or shoes
white oyster shell roads

The books of memories could fill
libraries and photographs in
the mind eyes could fill up
many albums ...
a life well lived

Plugged in might be
a way of life then

Death can be scary
when one lives for someone else
on one's own, not so much
nobody will hurt at the passing

Summer fell to it's knees
gasping hot breath
As Fall raced by
Scattering crisp autumn leaves
In the cool breeze

Falling leaves and gentle breeze
drizzly afternoon on a lazy day
love songs on the radio
a snippet of yesteryears

went out for a swim
dove off the pier
And nearly broke my neck
Damn winter and this frozen lake!

winter days never seen
yet always imagined
icicles and white snow
bambi looking pretty
with chubby birds

Disney dreams of fantasy
A childhood buried but not forgotten
Saturday morning cartoons were the best
Standing in high cotton
